In all, you'll learn:

  • How to construct drills that ensure carryover to game situations.
  • How to teach running backs to secure the ball to avoid fumbles.
  • Unique drills that teach the running back to maintain correct pressure, as well as how to secure the ball when being tackled and when in traffic.

Making Complete Running Backs

Coach Harbaugh continues with a demonstration of drills that teach running game skills, including how his University of Michigan backs are taught to cut and avoid both first-level and second-level defenders. Additionally, multiple drills are demonstrated that teach route running, catching, and the transition from receiver to runner that are so important for running backs in modern offenses.

Finally, you'll see drills that teach the finer points of pass protection against second- and third-level rushers, as well as down lineman. Harbaugh includes several coaching points and techniques for defeating the most common types of rushes running backs will encounter.

This video will give you several great drills that teach and reinforce the fundamentals of running back play in a manner that closely mimics the actual game. Coach Harbaugh does a fantastic job providing specific coaching points that help fully explain each drill and the individual techniques that are being practiced.

  • Get pad level low and have the receiver drive out low.
  • Get wide receivers to not false step out of their stance.
  • Close the distance on defenders with stride frequency and stride length.

Chutes and Pop Ups

Using football chutes and stand-up pop-ups, Coach Gattis gives two drills that help with getting receivers' positioning low to help fight off defensive arm bars.

You will see how to create a second level release for receivers and muscle memory on route running in the Pop-up drill. Within the Chutes drill, you'll see how to keep receivers low to the ground on transitions and how the drill relates to game-like situations. Coach Gattis also shows:

12-year career in the NFL as a cornerback and safety (drafted by San Diego & played for NY Jets, Phoenix Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles)

Michigan uses an off man "Scooch" technique and man press coverage to disrupt their opponents' timing in the passing game from the cornerback position. This combination of coverage has kept the Michigan pass defense at or near the top of the country for three years running.

In this video, you'll learn how the "Scooch" off ball man coverage can slow down even the best offensive passing attacks from former Michigan Secondary Coach Michael Zordich. Coach Zordich breaks down drills that are simple and effective for teaching the "Scooch" technique, and also gives you information on how to use the "divider" rule to put defenders in the best possible alignment on receivers.

Coverage Options

Zordich shows three options that corners have available depending on their ability to play press coverage. You'll discover a motor step technique for corners that are able to buzz their feet and keep leverage on the receiver. Additionally, see the "1 Step 2" method, which mirrors the release of the receiver and sets up a stun on the receiver. Coach Zordich also details a glide back, which allows for vertical route adjustment and buys time for the corner to diagnose the route.

Practice Drills

Both practice and game footage are utilized to demonstrate press man coverage as Zordich covers 18 drills used in perfecting the press man coverage as well as tackling. You will witness:

  • Set, reset and scrape.
  • How to play the ball when "out of phase" with the receiver.
  • The power foot tackle as well as the cut tackle.
  • Press man crack and replace.
  • Press man "Tailpipe" and low crosser help.

As a bonus, Coach Zordich shows three calls and concepts for manning up versus bunch or stacked sets.

former Paramus Catholic High School (NJ) Head Coach; while there, the Partridge-coached program went from a football high school program rank of 4,250th nationally to #4 nationally (USA Today)

This video featuring the former Michigan Safeties Coach Chris Partridge will help you learn the Michigan philosophy for playing safety and all the drill work that contributes to athletes developing into top-tier college players. In addition to safety-specific drills, Coach Partridge also includes a breakdown of Michigan's tackling manual, which is their go-to set of rules for tackling.

Safety Drills

Partridge covers four dynamic agility drills that teach defenders how to move and flip their hips in every conceivable direction. Two break drills that teach safeties how to break downhill and adjust to different angles by the ball carrier are included, as well as 13 pass break drill that allow defensive backs to gain confidence on any route they need to defend. You'll also get six drills that work on ball hawking skills and eight block destruction concepts.

Tackling Manual

Next, Coach Partridge covers the Michigan tackling manual. He wants his players to "learn to play on the very edge of being out of control." He believes each player should understand who they are athletically in order to put themselves into proper strike position.

You'll learn about:

  • The Approach Phase - Aggressively tracking the ball and understanding the relationship between your momentum and the ball carrier's path.
  • The Contact Phase - Using "quartering" and the "power foot" in every tackle by maintaining leverage and compressing to the ball carrier's near hip as you stay square.
  • The Finish Phase - Includes contact with near foot, near shoulder with a body-to-body collision in which you wrap, squeeze and "drive for 5".

Partridge uses both practice and game film to demonstrate each type of tackle that is discussed, including:

  • Hawk Tackle
  • Roll Tackle
  • Body to Body
  • Sweep Tackle

Players must understand the proper tackle technique and angle in every single drill, every single day.

If you're seeking a no-filler, drills-heavy video that hits on safeties and tackling, this presentation from Coach Partridge will be a great asset to your football team!

Run-Pass-Options are becoming increasingly popular at various levels of football due to the pressure they put on the defense to make a decision. If you're wanting to start running RPOs on your own team, or simply want to add more ideas to your current RPO package, then this video featuring Josh Gattis is a great resource.

How and Why Michigan Runs RPOs

Coach Gattis begins his presentation by giving an overview of the Michigan philosophy regarding RPOs. He explains that the RPO is a way for the offense to keep the defense from overloading the box to defend the run. At Michigan, the RPO is a way to help the offense be able to run the football against favorable numbers in the box. Gattis also explains the importance of being able to protect the quarterback against pressure looks that the defense will run. You'll see several examples of how Michigan protects the QB against the 7th and 8th man on the defense if they try to pressure the QB. In all, you'll get:

  • Michigan's favorite run scheme to tag an RPO to.
  • Ideas for how to keep the QB protected against pressure looks.
  • Michigan's method for keeping the numbers in their favor on run plays with the use of the RPO.
  • How Michigan teaches their QBs to identify the "conflict" player that is controlled by the RPO.

Michigan's Main RPO Scheme

Coach Gattis continues by diagramming the main RPO used at Michigan with both 6-man and 7-man run schemes. He then shows several examples, using practice video, of the main RPO concept that Michigan uses. Route running mechanics as well as QB read progression are explained in great detail against several defensive looks.

During the course of the presentation, Gattis shows several examples of the most common ways teams try to defend their RPO scheme. He also covers adjustments that can be made to the RPO concept that allows the offense to have a favorable match-up.

This is a valuable video presentation of Michigan's base RPO concept. Coach Gattis does a thorough job explaining what you need to know to implement this scheme and always have an advantage over the defense!

Mike Leach is widely known for developing the "Air Raid" offense with Hal Mumme. In 2013, only his second season at Washington State, Coach Leach's team ranked fourth in the nation in passing offense and went to a bowl game for the first time in 10 years. At Texas Tech, his offense led the nation in passing six times in 10 seasons.

In this informative, dynamic presentation, Coach Leach teaches you how to structure and efficiently run your practices by focusing on how to better teach and more effectively implement multi-faceted play. Coach Leach's ideas will:

  • ensure that your practices are allocating sufficient time to the necessary skills and drills
  • improve practice tempo
  • maximize practice repetitions

First, Coach Leach discusses how and when to implement a new play. He goes on to explain that although he will tweak and adjust plays for different opponents, success is found in drilling each play more specifically or being more precise when teaching particular techniques.

Referencing his signature "mesh" play, Coach Leach takes you through the specifics and philosophies necessary to build a potent "any down play" that can be the foundation and signature play of your team's offense. The mesh pass concept is a staple in the "Air Raid" offense that has helped Coach Leach's teams break NCAA passing records. You'll see how to implement it from 2x2 and 3x1 sets. You'll also get drills to improve fundamental skills in the Air Raid, increase completion percentages and reduce turnovers.

As he takes you day-by-day through his weekly practice plan, Coach Leach identifies points of emphasis from the planning of practice to the execution and technique improvements. Using practice film, he sets up and critiques drills that develop young quarterbacks and receivers. While critiquing practice film he touches on points such as:

  • changing the arc of the ball to allow the receiver to make the quarterback right
  • changing hand placement when catching a horizontal pass, which is different from catching a vertical pass

Using game film, Coach Leach shares technical and situational specifics that apply to quarterbacks and receivers all within the context of his mesh play.

This presentation will help you plan a successful practice, while understanding technique and basic schemes to improve offensive productions.

Mark Teague, head coach and athletic director at Bolton High School in Louisiana, delivers a great overview on why his program adopted the single wing offense and how it helped them become more competitive. In this video, Teague breaks down the evolution of Bolton's single wing offense, the personnel needed to run the offense, and also covers the most common formations and terminology that you need to implement the single wing within your own program.

Single Wing Introduction and Personnel

As Coach Teague says, the single wing offense is a physical brand of football. Leaning heavily on a ground-and-pound approach, the single wing gives you an advantage because opponents have a hard time preparing for it since they are likely more accustomed to guarding spread formations that have grown in popularity recently. Because the single wing is a physical approach, as time ticks away in games, your opponents' will will be taken away as they struggle to counter the smash mouth style.

In order to set the stage, Teague breaks down the base personnel needs of the single wing offense prior to covering the traits that are desired for every position. Thanks to this section, you'll be able to easily identify and plug in the players on your roster that fit each position.

Formations and Terminology

With personnel needs taken care of, you can begin implementing the formations that make up the bread and butter of the single wing offense. Coach Teague covers essential formations like the 9 formation, 8 formation, bear formation and spinner formation in detail. He also gives you formation shifts to help you further confuse the defense.

To close out the video, you'll get the terminology that Teague uses with his team that helps simplify communication in practice and on game day.

This video is a great place to start if you have interest in running the single wing offense. Coach Teague has experienced success on the field with his team running the single wing, and knows exactly what's needed to keep your offense moving the ball forward all game long!

The "Smash" series is the engine behind the single wing offense run by Mark Teague at Bolton High School. This video contains a full explanation on the Smash series by Coach Teague that will allow you to replicate the main component that has made his offense so successful. Not only will you get details on how to run the Smash series against various defensive alignments, you'll also see various plays broken down via game film to see how they work under the lights.

Splits & Alignments

Teague kicks things off by detailing the splits and alignments used within his program. After that, he breaks down running the Smash series versus common defensive schemes, including:

  • 4-3 defense
  • 4-3 defense (adjusted)
  • 3-4 defense
  • 3-4 defense (adjusted)
  • 4-4 defense

You'll see useful diagrams drawn on a white board that break down blocking assignments, read players, running lanes and more.

Installation & Complementary Plays

Coach Teague shows practice footage from his team's first true day installing the Smash series. He also gives you complementary plays via diagram and game footage to take the Smash series to the next level, including counter, blast, power weak, sweep, and spin series.

While the ground game is the emphasis for Mark Teague's single wing offense at Bolton High School, he understands that in order to maximize his team's effectiveness, they must keep the defense honest by threatening through the air as well. In this video, you'll learn about the pass concepts used by Coach Teague that can be peppered into a ground-and-pound approach to hit opponents when they're least expecting it.

Philosophy and Routes

Teague starts by explaining that the goal of being able to pass in his single wing offense is to take advantage of when the defense stacks the box, which often opens up deep passing opportunities with receivers running wide open. Additionally, giving kids the option to pass the ball on occasion can serve as a fun opportunity in an offense that otherwise wants to be run-oriented. Various routes are diagrammed by Coach Teague, and are broken down by depth: quick, intermediate, and deep.

Pass Plays

Once he's done breaking down the routes used in his offense, Teague moves on to explaining how those routes are implemented in full plays. Slant, out, and curl routes are the quick routes covered. Waggle, 12, and 13 are the intermediate routes. And finally, 4 verts, switch, and choice are the deep routes. Coach Teague does a nice job breaking down how to make every route effective as a receiver by using correct timing and technique.

Every team should be able to pass the ball when the opportunity presents itself, even if the focus of your offense is on running the ball. This video from Coach Teague will give you some great ideas for how to pass the ball out of a single wing offense.

You'll learn about Coach Marion's philosophies for running the wide zone within the Go-Go, as well as the "Right Formation" and its variances against 3- and 4-man fronts.

Wide Zone

A huge part of running an effective Go-Go offense is utilizing the wide zone play. Marion jumps into a series of game clips and walks you through successful and unsuccessful examples of running the wide zone in the Go-Go offense. He breaks down which players the quarterback must read pre- and post-snap in order to determine whether to hand the ball off or keep it. You'll also learn what running backs should look for upon receiving a hand-off as they aim to get vertical up the field.

Coach Marion also includes a segment geared toward how to change primary formations and reads in the red zone in order to be more versatile. This includes the quarterback going under center for a different look.

Right Formation

Once he's done breaking down game film, Marion moves to the whiteboard to diagram the "Right Formation" within his Go-Go offense. He breaks down the terminology they use at William & Mary in addition to the responsibilities of each player on the field. While the initial diagramming is done against a 3-man front, Coach Marion also includes a segment on what to change when the defense uses a 4-man look, allowing your team to be prepared for any situation.

Additionally, you'll learn the four tenets of the Go-Go that players must take to heart in regards to the offense and overall program, as well as drills for practice and QB traits to focus on when selecting or recruiting a quarterback.

Mesh Wheel Concept

The mesh wheel concept can be run from multiple formations, though Coach Marion prefers to run it in the traditional Go-Go look with two running backs in the backfield in order to provide the familiar run action look. You will get a breakdown that includes game film on passing out of the Go-Go, with focus on which players to read on the defense and how to react to different coverages. After several examples are shown, Marion moves to the whiteboard to further break down the mesh wheel concept and how to manipulate the defense.

4 Tenets of the Go-Go

The four main tenets of the Go-Go offense are:

  • Tempo
  • Together
  • Toughness
  • Technique

In order to build the culture that Coach Marion wants in his players, he discusses what to do during the spring and summer months to drive home major points of emphases that will contribute to the win column in the fall. These tactics include reaching players on a spiritual, mental, social, and emotional level outside of the traditional physical training associated with football.

Run Mesh Drills & QB Traits

Next, Marion includes run mesh drills that your team can utilize at practice. The great part about these drills are they incorporate run and pass reps all in one package, meaning teams with few players and little practice time can use them for maximum benefit.

Coach Marion rounds out the video by explaining what traits to look for in quarterbacks in order to run the Go-Go offense, as well as how he coaches quarterbacks by giving them a "target" to hit every day and treating them like a fellow coach.

This video will give you an essential piece of the passing game for the Go-Go offense. Coach Marion's breakdowns go into great detail in order to help you find what you need to succeed.

under Barthel in 2018, Howard led the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in rushing with 192.8 yards per game

In order to run the ball well, mastering the inside zone is paramount for your offensive approach. Additionally, your running backs must possess great vision in order to get the most out of each play.

William & Mary running backs coach, EJ Barthel, takes you through his approach to the inside zone in this video. Coach Barthel includes pre- and post-snap reads, film room breakdowns, and drills that you can adopt to turn your backs into game breaking players.

Aiming Point, Reads, and Film Room

Barthel begins by discussing the aiming point for his running backs in the inside zone. He wants his players to capture the midline, which allows the back to be in position to attack all three areas of the field. Additionally, players must press the aiming point until the last second to get opposing linebackers committed.

Next, you'll discover what Coach Barthel instructs his runners to look for pre- and post-snap. His pre-snap reads include the Fast, Stack, and Slow reads based on where the linebacker aligns. Post-snap reads include Fast Fast Flow, Fast Slow Flow, and Slow Flow. After defining what each read means, Barthel goes in-depth in the film room to provide you specific examples of these reads being utilized in games.

Running Back Drills and Philosophies

Coach Barthel showcases 11 drills that are great for training your running backs to make correct reads while also conditioning them physically to capitalize on making correct reads. Drills included are:

  • Aiming Point Path
  • Read & React
  • Jump Cut Vertical
  • Obstacle Drill
  • Bag Drill
  • Serpentine Drill
  • Jump Cut Drill
  • Palm Up Drill
  • Combo Drill
  • 4-Corner Cut Drill
  • Bad Ball Drill

In the midst of these drills, Barthel dives into William & Mary's running back philosophy and also throws in some tips for improving ball security while carrying the pigskin.

Your running back could have all the talent in the world, but if they never make the correct read, then their potential will always be suppressed. This video from Coach Barthel will ensure you and your backs know what reads to make while running the inside zone.

FD-04257A: with Rick Stewart,
former Porterville (CA) High School Head Football Coach, Coach Stewart has used this offensive system to turn around three different schools that had poor records including 0-20, 1-19 and a team that won eight games in the 5 years prior to his arrival. Coach Stewart led each team to the playoffs with in his first two seasons at the helm.

Coach Stewart shows you how to install the Pistol Wing-T system starting in the spring and continuing through summer, fall, and into your season. You will quickly see why, despite having many 2-way starters, his teams finish strong each game without ever running sprints during practice.

This DVD shows annual, monthly, and daily practice plans that are discussed thoroughly so that anyone wishing to install and run the Pistol Wing-T can do so in a relatively easy manner.

Background & Philosophy

Coach Stewart evolved the Pistol Wing-T offense after coaching at four different schools. He has coached at the small, agricultural school with 600 students and no weight room, to the large, rural school of 2,000 students, to his current position at a large, inner city school of 2,000.

Stewart took all four of these schools to the playoffs with this offense and without ever coaching a scholarship player! His proven system works at all levels.

Stewart briefly shares the vision, philosophies, and goals he had to instill at all of these losing programs.

Practice Goals & Considerations
This is the "checklist" of goals and expectations of every practice in regards to turnovers, maximum reps, and conditioning with a purpose. Stewart's linear teaching progression is discussed and he shows how to match the technique to the drill to the play call.

Stewart also shows how to correctly balance full contact with no contact drills. Stewart's practice schedules always contain "hidden" individual time that gives position coaches additional time to teach important techniques.

Off-Season & Spring
Stewart shows how to get a jump on your opponents by starting your teaching after school and in the weight room when your players come back from winter break. He then goes through his day-by-day installation sequence during 10 spring practices. Daily practice schedules are shown, in addition to the sequence of motions, formations, and plays that are installed first.

Summer
Stewart allows for 12 summer practices which balances the demands of multiple-sport athletes and allows for players and coaches to enjoy their summer break. The installation schedule is continued from the spring with the goal of the entire base offense being installed before August. Stewart also shows how to approach 7 on 7 and summer camps.

August
Stewart summarizes the individual and group drills that are explained in the other Pistol Wing-T videos, but here he shows when and where the drills are inserted into the practice schedules. He then goes through his twenty August practices and how he re-installs all of the plays but now adds the "wrinkles" such key breakers, blitz pickup, and use of different formations.

At all of Stewart's coaching stops, most of the players and coaches worked during the day, so he shows a unique way of doing "double practices" without having a morning practice.

Conditioning
The Pistol Wing-T is a fast, explosive offense that requires the ball to be snapped within 3 seconds of breaking the huddle. This puts great pressure on the defense to recognize all the different formations that Stewart uses. It is also an offense designed for the 180 pound guard and 140 pound halfback, so quickness and conditioning are very important components to compete against bigger opponents. Stewart is a master at incorporating conditioning into the entire practice and challenges his athletes both physically and mentally.

In-Season and Playoffs
This section shows how to effectively use your time once school has started and how Coach Stewart uses every assistant coach in weekly game plans. Daily practice schedules are shown and discussed. He then shows how he modifies for league and playoffs so that players do not become burned out or over-fatigued, exposing them to late season injury.

Scouting the Opponent
Stewart quickly shows how his entire staff is utilized in off-season, in-season, and game night scouting. He talks about what he looks for in an opponent when devising his weekly game plan and what every coach is looking for as he calls the plays on Friday night.

This video is packed with information and coaching insights. Order now and get plans and ideas for putting in the Pistol Wing-T offense!

Coach Stewart led each team to the playoffs with in his first two seasons at the helm.

Take your Wing-T offense to a whole new level by implementing the Pistol Wing-T. You get the same devastating misdirection found in the conventional Wing-T, with all of the advantages of putting the quarterback in the gun.

Coach Stewart uses a PowerPoint presentation and live demonstrations to teach you all of the new wrinkles, drills and concepts in the exciting Wing-T Pistol offense. You will see the backfield footwork for all the Wing-T running plays, as well as his newest version of motion that sends the wing behind the QB instead in front of him. This change adds more misdirection to the Pistol Wing-T, which will create hesitation in any defense.

Coach Stewart opens with the Buck Sweep and the 32 G.T. emphasizing that the ball never leaves the quarterback's belly and that the running backs are responsible for all fakes. Next Stewart shows you the 36 Down, Veer and the Counter and how the same steps are used by the QB in all the plays. The Belly Series includes the G, 28 Option, 28 G Belly, 33 Belly GT and the 41 Trap. Stewart uses the Midline and Veer series out of the Pistol to put additional pressure on the defense.

Every day drills are highlighted for each position so that you will have an understanding of specific skills needed to run the offense. Adding plays that require similar footwork for the backfield allows you to efficiently install and practice both traditional Wing-T plays along with outside veer, inside veer and midline. Coach Stewart's drills teach:

  • Proper backfield alignment for the quarterback and each running back
  • The backfield footwork and the coaching points to execute the motion properly to ensure the defense cannot key on one player
  • Various running back drills that involve blocking and running with the ball
  • How to fake hand-offs and use deception to your advantage
  • The "knuckleball" snap that puts the laces into the quarterback's throwing hand for a quick delivery

Practice video is included that shows how Coach Stewart administers each drill and how it is tied to specific plays.

Expertly execute your backfield movements this season with excellent deception and timing!

Rick Stewart does a superb job of teaching coaches how to improve offensive line performance for the Pistol Wing-T. Coach Stewart walks through each blocking technique and then uses practice video to show how he administers each technique using heavy bags.

Stewart shows how to create proper first-step mechanics in your linemen. He preaches the power step and getting the second step on the ground before contact so your linemen can elevate defenders on their third step. His sled progression includes the 1,2,3-Down-Pull & Trap before he finishes with the Sled Drive.

Hand shields are used to simulate the more realistic block on a moving target. The use of double team and combo blocking is shown as well as the Belly Drill. A group work time allows players to work together on all types of combination blocks needed in the Wing-T.

Stewart designs each drill so linemen can respond to both odd and even defensive fronts. He diagrams each technique, drill and play so that players are prepared each week for their next opponent.

For smaller schools he shows how to use half line drills so that you can get every play installed with fewer players.

This is a comprehensive offensive line video that will assist coaches at both the middle school and high school levels.

Coach Stewart led each team to the playoffs with in his first two seasons at the helm.

Rick Stewart uses simple but effective processes for improving quarterback play and his overall passing game.

QB Drills
Coach Stewart provides over 20 drills for you to use to help improve quarterback play in the Pistol Wing-T system. He covers mechanics, pass play footwork, run play footwork and option footwork. Also included are sprint passing techniques, so coaches can improve their play action passing game.

In the Pistol, the quarterback is three yards from the line of scrimmage, so the 1-, 3- and 5-step drops are modified. Stewart explains how and where the quarterback needs to be based on these modifications. He also shows a highly effective approach to finding the open receiver and explains how to teach the quarterback to read defenses.

WR Drills
Coach Stewart's wide receivers drills are a must for any coach who works with receivers. The receiver section contains 15+ drills. The blocking session shows you how receivers stalk and crack. The 2,4,6 and 9 cone drill for receivers is one of the best set of drills a coach can use to work on cuts, chattering down on breaks, and catching the ball.

Stewart does a tremendous job explaining each drill with PowerPoint and practice video.

Group Drills, Simulation Drills, Screen Game, Practice Schedule
In the last section of the video, Coach Stewart gives you quarterback and wide receiver group drills, simulation drills, the screen game and practice schedule. The simulation drill allows quarterbacks to see where receivers will be at end of their routes and where the open windows will be. You'll also learn to execute eight screen plays with just three blocking schemes.

Coaches will find these drills for mechanics and footwork highly effective easy to install into their daily practice schedule.

Coach Stewart led each team to the playoffs with in his first two seasons at the helm.

Coach Stewart uses a power point presentation before showing you practice and game video of his dynamic Pistol Wing-T offense shredding the 4-3 defense. The key in defeating the 4-3 defense is the ability to run the ball from the inside out and putting the safeties in conflict: "Is it run or pass?"

Coach Stewart provides a very detailed plan for attacking the 4-3 defense beginning with off season scouting up to and including your next game. He explains how to scout your opponent from the previous season by identifying returning players and then creating a reaction diagram for each play. Reaction diagrams will help coaches understand who is reading running backs versus linemen. It will also pinpoint alley players and show how safeties are responding to motion and formation alignments. The need for "if then" statements is covered so you can call plays and make game time adjustments effectively.

The Pistol Wing-T allows for a multiple formation attack to force the defense to declare their gap assignments and pass zones. To start the game, Coach Stewart likes to attack the defense from the inside. Coach Stewart explains the G Trap, Gut, Tackle Trap, and Midline, describing when and where to attack the defense. You'll see the best way to gain an advantage on bigger defensive tackles. You'll also learn how to attack the off-tackle hole with various motions and formations, including the G Lead, GT, and Crisscross series.

The 4-3 Defense leaves the flats vulnerable in the Cover 4, so Stewart shows how to take advantage with a variety of sweeps, screens and options. Coaches will find his seven man alignment diagrams useful in deciding whether to initially attack the middle, off tackle or flank of a defense.

The Pistol Wing-T passing game attacks the various coverages and provides for big play potential when the defense over-commits to stop the high powered running game.

This DVD takes the traditional Wing-T to a whole new level, coaches at all levels will benefit from Coach Stewart's insight on attacking the 4-3 defense with the Wing-T Pistol Offense.

If you have struggled to move the ball against the 4-2 and 4-4 defenses, help is on the way! Rick Stewart gives you an attack plan that will allow your team to light up the scoreboard and attack the defense with both the run and the pass.

Starting before the season even begins, Coach Stewart shares his out of season scouting procedure and discusses why it is important to understand how teams are going to defend your offense. This gives you time to plan your attack for each team on your schedule. He also goes over the basics of his Pistol Wing-T offense, describing his terminology and the number system he uses.

Moving to strategy, Coach Stewart shows you an effective way to identify the front of the 4-4 and 4-2-5 defenses. Stewart attacks the 4-2/4-4 defense off tackle first, as he runs at the defensive end and determines his technique. If the end flies up field, you can run the Down, G-Lead and Belly Counter. If the defensive end squeezes and the Outside Backer is reading, the Buck Sweep, Inside and Outside Veer are available options. Stewart covers each possible defensive technique and how he attacks it.

Learn how to attack the flank and how to put the number 4 defender in "conflict." The OLB has to defend the alley and defend the flats. By attacking his assignment with motions and play actions he is in constant conflict. When the middle softens up, you can attack it with the 32 G, the 34 Veer, Option, Fly Sweep, Belly Pass and Down Pass.

Coach Stewart includes his passing game and shows you how he attacks Cover 3, Roll Cover 2 and man-to-man. You'll see a sprint package that gets your QB on the edge with the option to run or pass the ball.

You can combine play action passing and the sprint passing game to attack the defensive zones covered by the OLB and corners or the corners and free safety. You will see each play diagrammed by Stewart along with practice and game footage.

As a bonus, Stewart shares his screens and wrap around draw play rounding out an incredible offensive package!

Coach Stewart led each team to the playoffs with in his first two seasons at the helm.

Rick Stewart gives you a blueprint for defeating the 3-3 defense with the Pistol Wing-T offense.

Wing-T coaches have often struggled versus this defense due to the number of defenders lined up between the offenses tackles. Coach Stewart explains several base alignments you can use against this defense and how you can force the defense to change their alignment by attacking different parts of the field.

The playbook is very similar to the traditional Wing-T, but with the quarterback off the line of scrimmage, the offense presents additional challenges to any defense. Stewart holds nothing back as he presents his concepts on reading defenses and calling plays.

Coach Stewart uses a count system to identify which defenders he will put in conflict. The system used to count and identify each member of the defense will help you decide whether to attack the middle, off tackle or flank of this defense. He diagrams how the eight defenders at Level 1 and 3 typically line up and how to use this information to your advantage. Coach Stewart offers a four part plan for attacking the eight man front.

Coach Stewart explains that you must attack the flanks of the defense early in the game. He describes the formations to use to spread the defense that will create problems for this defense - and how to exploit it. You will see live footage of the Pistol Wing-T and how the entire offense ties together creating a balanced attack.

Stewart uses the option game, Buck Sweep, and the Down and G Belly passes to attack the flank of the defense. The off tackle hole is attacked with the Outside Veer, Down, Buck Down, and the 36 G Lead. When the defense moves outside, you can attack the middle. You'll also see plays to run when the defense is chasing your motion back, which will open up other parts of your offense.

Coach Stewart will make you think about the way you call plays and help you design your offensive scheme so it will attack the weakness not the strength of the defense.

Took three losing programs to playoffs. Led Porterville to four straight playoff appearances, back-to-back section championship appearances.

Rick Stewart, one of the most highly successful high school coaches in the country, takes you through his up-tempo "NASCAR pace" offense. This no huddle attack with post snap reads will create imbalance for every defense you face. Increased plays, counters for every defense, reads for every defense, and formations to create mismatches are all on display.

Coach Stewart begins with his post-snap reads for the essential Wing-T plays: Belly, Down, Tackle Trap, Quick Trap and jet. Stewart has eliminated the option call and turned these plays to a true read concept by his quarterback. Now you do not have to wait to call the option if the defense is cheating to these plays. You force them to play assignment football and defend the option on every play, allowing your quarterback to take advantage of what the defense is giving you each snap. Five post-snap reads are explained for each play. Coach Stewart details the alignment and assignment of each position to include which player you read when pitching the football. These reads add an element to your scheme that will always allow the defense to be wrong.

Moving into the up-tempo portion of the video, Coach Stewart takes you through every aspect of his up-tempo no huddle philosophy for instant results. He gives you six reasons on why you should run the no huddle tempo offense. He points out you get more snaps, wear out the opponents defense, your practice conditioning, more reps in practice, easier to run your two minute, and easier to audible. Coach takes you from signals to snap counts all the way to the way your categorize and call your plays. The no huddle installation is broken down into three types of tempos; Red, Yellow, and Green Light tempos. These tempos allow coaches and players to go as fast as they want and still get in the best plays for critical situations.

Coach Stewart ends with various unbalanced formations to create defensive mismatches

The newly implemented pace to Coach Stewart's offense and the post snap reads elevate his offense to even greater heights. This high-octane philosophy is sure to present defensive coordinators with fits. Take this DVD home today and install a program that is sure to get your offense up-tempo and up-to-date.

Porterville improved from winning 8 games total over their last 5 seasons to winning 40 games in their next 5 seasons and back-to-back championships.

The Pistol Wing-T can accommodate programs that aren't fortunate enough to have a big time player at quarterback every season. However, make no mistake, the quarterback is the key to making this offense run. You need a savvy player with the unselfishness and intelligence to consistently make the plays that will get you the most yards.

Rick Stewart believes that if you can find the person with the right character traits, you can develop the athletic qualities they need to excel at the quarterback position. This video will show you the footwork for different Wing-T run plays, throwing mechanics with footwork, reads a quarterback must make, and practice drills needed to produce the caliber of quarterback who can lead your team to victory.

Running Game Footwork

Coach Stewart breaks down the intricacies to the footwork and technique needed by your backfield players to execute the Pistol Wing-T running game. Using PowerPoint diagrams and player demonstration, you will learn how to perform the steps, fakes, and hand-offs in the plays within the Buck, Belly, Down, Jet, and Veer families. You will see how these plays can be run under center or from the Pistol formation. Mastering these techniques will help your backfield maximize their speed and deception to pressure the defense.

Passing Game Mechanics

The Wing-T offense is brought to life by a quarterback who can distribute the ball through the passing game. Learn how help your quarterbacks perfect their throwing mechanics through a variety of breakdown drills. Over 20 drills will instill confidence in your players so they can operate with the ball in their hands.

These drills help by isolating specific aspects of the throwing motion, such as wrist and elbow mechanics and throwing from different body angles. You will also see the footwork for dropping back various distances as well as throwing on the run with proper sprint mechanics.

Coach Stewart uses diagrams, explanations, and video to demonstrate footwork for quarterbacks and running backs. He uses familiar language of the Wing-T used by Delaware, who made Wing-T play calling famous. Coach Stewart also explains how he has changed the language to fit his high school program.

Developing the type of quarterback who will one day be able to lead your team is an investment. Coach Stewart walks you through the details to each of the four phases of his year-round practice plan and discusses how your quarterbacks should read a variety of defensive coverages based on the type of passing play you want to run.

He has lead three separate high school programs through transitions from perennial losers into playoff-caliber squads.

In this video, Coach Stewart will provide you a detailed overview of the Pistol Wing-T system that has lead to his repeated successes. This up-tempo offense combines a powerful running attack, misdirection, and passing game to score - even against opponents with superior talent. From the advantages and disadvantages to running the Pistol Wing-T, to the attributes of different positions within the offense, to the technique of snapping the ball, Coach Stewart spares no detail in sharing what makes this system work.

Run Family

See how Coach Stewart organizes his plays into three main "families:" Belly, Buck and Down. Each has the ability to take advantage of a common blocking scheme while still having the flexibility to get the ball to each of your backfield players and attack the defense in a number of ways. This creates a system of "if-then" scenarios where you can always make the defense wrong with the tactics they attempt to use against you. Game film from a variety of schools that have already embraced the Pistol Wing-T revolution will introduce you to some of the plays within the system.

"Look-a-Like" Formations

Coach Stewart shares the importance of "look-a-like" motions and blocking schemes that allow for multiple plays from the same formations, making defensive game preparation and reads difficult.

Learn how to confuse the defense with the combination of 15 different formations and up-tempo huddle system. Through visualizations using PowerPoint, player demonstration, and computer simulation, Coach Stewart demonstrates how to huddle players so they can quickly run a play within seconds. Essential details like the fast timing of the snap count and sending players into motion confuse the defense and make it hard for your opponent to run many blitzes or different packages against you. Coach Stewart shows you how the pace can be accelerated even further with a no huddle system.

Communication

A system for clearly communicating all of the intricacies of the offense to your players is critical. Coach Stewart utilizes schematics and game film throughout the video to demonstrate how he has changed the Wing-T terminology to simplify play calls for the high school athlete. You will see how plays are signaled from the sideline to players in both huddle and no huddle situations. He continues this simplification by demonstrating and explaining the most efficient huddle strategy for deception and conflict with his easy-to-learn play calling system.

Coach Stewart teaches you all of the terminology that is needed to call out formations, play families, blocks, routes, and more for every snap of the ball. He will walk you through the creation of a play with diagrams that visualize each of his verbal calls.

Additionally, Coach Stewart provides you with a value system of different positions in the offense, along with the required traits for each position. This helps less experienced coaches assign the best players for every position, rather than the stereotypical body types for the various positions.

Make your opponents work twice as hard and put more tallies in the win column for your team with Rick Stewart's Pistol Wing-T offense!

The Pistol Wing-T offense will help you create a powerful running attack - even with undersized linemen. Rick Stewart shares how to maximize the success of the run game within your own Pistol Wing-T offense.

This system shares the ball with multiple players in the backfield and takes advantage of misdirection and countering the defense with plays that will conflict with the opposition's individual assignments. By mastering the footwork and technique of players in the backfield, you will learn how to force the defense into a state of confusion that will lead to big yardage plays.

Coach Stewart teaches you the intricacies to six different play "families:" Go, Belly, Liz/Rip, Lazer/Rocket, and Veer. You'll learn the details of each play series through a combination of white board diagrams, player demonstrations, and game film from teams around the country that successfully run the Pistol Wing-T. In each play, Coach Stewart explains important aspects to the running game such as:

  • How to attack the defense with different players at different holes with the same basic formation, blocking, and backfield movements for each play family.
  • Countering different defensive alignments with basic blocking responsibilities and adjustments for your line and backfield players.
  • Deceiving the defense with a step-by-step breakdown of the timing, footwork, and technique necessary to maximize the fakes of your backfield players.
  • How to help your backfield players read the defense to attack them where they are most vulnerable.

This video provides the critical details you need to execute the library of play options in the Pistol Wing-T running game.

Adding the threat of an effective passing game will open up your Wing-T running plays while also giving you the option to take advantage of an over-aggressive defense that has committed to plugging the run. Rick Stewart shows you his four phase passing game that can put four receivers into routes at any time, along with the screen and draw plays he uses to counter defensive pressure.

Four Phase Passing Attack

Coach Stewart uses whiteboard diagrams in addition to game film from the numerous teams that have already successfully incorporated the Pistol Wing T. You will learn play options in each of the four phases to the passing game through a breakdown of these game situations. Coach Stewart discusses protection schemes for your linemen and illustrates multiple route options for your receivers.

  • Play Action: The perfect counter for teams that are loading the box to take away your running game. Coach Stewart shows you how to set these plays up to fool the defense and free up an open receiver.
  • Quick Drops: Learn how to use the purple blocking scheme used to pick up blitzes, as well as receiver routes used for consistent five yard pick ups, with these plays based on a 1-3 step drop.
  • Drop Back: Take advantage of crossing concepts with deep routes. Coach Stewart will show you the white and gray protection schemes based on the tailback helping as a blocker.
  • Sprint Passing Game: Combine the "Flood" concept with several different formations for 24 different play options.

Screen and Draw Package

When teams plan to take away your passing game, you will need go-to options to counter the defense. Coach Stewart shows you a series of five screen and draw plays that allow you to set up fast sideline-to-sideline pursuing defenses by taking advantage of their pursuit and countering them back to another part of the field.

Rick Stewart shares how to make your playbook look impossibly big through changes in formations and incorporating tactics such as motions, shifts, combo plays and false keys. Additionally, you will learn how to handle special situations with short yardage plays and Coach Stewart's personal library of trick plays.

These components are something you can add over multiple seasons as your program continues to master their understanding of the Pistol Wing-T offense.

Motions, Shifts and Trick Plays

You will see whiteboard diagrams, computer simulations, player demonstrations, and game film that help you visualize the blocking assignments and reads necessary to make these plays work.

  • Formations - You will learn how to sprint out of the huddle into 15 different formations that help gain easy yardage off of defenses that cannot adjust quickly enough. Running the same plays out of these different formations expands your playbook and makes it impossible for opponents to adequately prepare for you in only a few days.
  • Short Yardage Plays - Every coach needs reliable options to punch the ball through the defense for those situations with 1-2 yards to go. Coach Stewart shows five plays in the "Thumper" and "Tubby" formations to help you claim those precious yards.
  • Motions & Shifts - This additional layer of pre-snap movements will make your offense unpredictable. The defense will be in a state of confusion as they try to match up to multiple formations and players in motion before the ball snaps. Putting players in motion will also give you a tool for studying how the defense adjusts and can help you find weaknesses to exploit over the course of the game.
  • False Keys - Defenses that are coached well will have certain reads they will execute flawlessly. Mixing in false keys with your guards will make the defense second guess their reads and can open up holes for defenders that continue to bite on misdirections.
  • Trick Plays - Coach Stewart shows you the best trick plays he has collected over his career to give you an arsenal of nine plays that will help you pick up big yards in clutch situations. These trick plays give you a diverse number of options to attack the defense in ways that the opponent will never see coming.
  • Read Plays & No Huddle Audibles - These plays allows you to quickly line up so the quarterback can read the defense and decide how to attack.
  • Combo Plays - For the advanced Pistol Wing-T coach, Coach Stewart shows you how to merge your favorite play actions to attack the defense on either side of the line of scrimmage. Based on reading the defense in 10 different plays, you can run or pass in either direction within the same play!

Adding these extra features to your Pistol Wing-T offense will dramatically increase the stress levels of opposing coaches!

"Coach Stewart does an amazing job sharing his bag of tricks in this video. I walked way entire impressed with how complete this offensive system feels with all of these additional components that can really take your Wing T system to the next level. FD-04098A: with Art Craig, Timberland (SC) High School Head Coach;
2011 2A State Champs; over a 4-year span (2008-11), Craig's teams have averaged 40 points a game running the Pistol Flexbone

This triple read, inside veer offense out of the shotgun is a unique concept that creates an offense your opponents will not want to line up against! For Art Craig, this proven offense has allowed his team to average 40 points per game and produced a state championship in 2011.

In this football DVD, Coach Craig lays out the differences between the standard Flexbone and his "Wolf-Gun" Offense and then shows you the multiple formation packages he uses to stress the defense to the breaking point. Using PowerPoint, coaching points, and game footage, Coach Craig will help you implement the Inside Veer into your Pistol Flexbone Offense.

Through his PowerPoint presentation, he outlines off-season and in-season practice schedules for the center and quarterback. He defines the key points to the two-handed "flip snap" and how it's practiced, including stance and hand placement. He also details the quarterback's stance and footwork through the use of his Option Tree to help create a more decisive quarterback.

Craig covers the key points to running the Inside Veer including how to use formations and motions to control your opponent's defense. Additionally, he covers his key points to the read and pitch, including drills to enhance these concepts.

Using game footage, Craig gives you a great look at his Inside Veer attack vs. various defensive fronts. You will be able to study the use of formations and no-huddle principles to gain an advantage on the opponent. Using practice video, Craig teaches the Inside Veer footwork for the quarterback using a progression from individual work up to adding a fullback.

As a bonus, Craig points out the importance of "thinking outside the box" and provides video of the tweaks he has made such as going to a no-back look.

If you want to put in an offense to dominate your opponent with the use of multiple formations and motions, the Pistol Flexbone is your answer. By adding the Inside Veer you will stretch and compress the defense on every snap!

FD-04098B: with Art Craig, Timberland (SC) High School Head Coach;
2011 2A State Champs; over a 4-year span (2008-11), Craig's teams have averaged 40 points a game running the Pistol Flexbone

In an era when all football coaches are looking for the next creative scheme and competitive advantage, Art Craig has merged two powerful, effective systems into one. He calls it The Timberland Wolf-Gun.

When you run the Midline Option from the Flexbone Pistol you get:

  • A cutting edge offensive scheme that blends the flexbone veer with the pistol formation
  • An explosive running play to a three technique defensive tackle
  • One of the toughest-to-stop short yardage plays in football
  • Blocking angles on every defender to break long runs
The key to the offense is a special two-hand center snap to a quarterback who is only 2 1/2 yards deep. This depth off the line allows the quarterback space and more time for his reads. Coach Craig, through his PowerPoint presentation, covers his off-season and in-season practice schedules for the center and quarterback. He defines the key points to the 2 handed "flip snap" and how that is practiced, including stance and hand placement.

Coach Craig shows you the multiple formation packages he uses to stress the defense to the breaking point. Master the mesh and mechanics of the Midline Option in the off season using Craig's unique options tree.

After showing you the mechanics, Craig diagrams the blocking scheme for the Midline before showing you game footage of the play from multiple formations as he coaches you up. One major advantage in the option game; you don't have to have overpowering offensive linemen. The Midline allows you to read a 3-technique defensive lineman to dive or keep--no one is assigned to block him. The Midline compliments the Inside Veer that is run to the 1-technique. This combination allows you to attack either side of the defense with an option attack.

Coach Craig's mix of "chalk talk" and game footage demonstrates how to incorporate motion and thoroughly details the nuances of executing the Midline versus all defensive fronts and adjustments.

With over 1-hour of run time, this DVD will help any coach looking for an innovative change with chapters explaining the advantages of the Midline, the implementation of the snap, the basics of the play, the "option tree" steps, practice drills and skills, and game-day cutups. Package this DVD with the Flexbone Pisotl Inside & Outside Veer videos and you too can see how his dynamic offense can dominate any defense.

2011 2A State Champs; over a 4-year span (2008-11), Craig's teams have averaged 40 points a game running the Pistol Flexbone

When the game is on the line and you need a touchdown to win, the Outside Veer is your go-to play. Everyone on the field and in the stands will know it's coming, yet it can't be stopped.

When defenses load up to stop the inside veer Art Craig goes to his outside veer and gashes the defense for big yardage. Utilizing the outside veer within Craig's "Wolf-Gun" Offense you will experience:

  • How easy it is to install into your offense
  • The ability to attack the edge of a defense with lightning speed
  • A tremendous goal line play that is almost impossible to stop
  • Offensive formations that can outnumber and dominsate the defense
  • Practice strategies and drills to make your own Flexbone Pistol Offense unstoppable
The outside veer has always been a difficult play to stop. Out of the Flexbone Pistol the quarterback is 2 1/2 yards off the line of scrimmage and has more time to read his key for the dive or keep. This takes the outside veer to a whole new level and gets the ball to the edge of the defense quickly.

In addition to the sheer power this play possess, it is also easy to install. Coach Craig shows you the multiple formation packages he uses to stress the defense to the breaking point. Implementation of the special two-handed center snap is discussed and shown with practice video.

Coach Craig has his players work on the veer tree to master the mesh and mechanics of the outside veer in the off season and every Monday and Tuesday during the season. You will see video action of his players executing on the tree and learn the importance of making your own tree.

After you learn how to run the outside veer out of the Flexbone Pistol, Coach Craig shows you the outside veer using game footage to help you better understand the offense. Craig goes through game film and points out the weaknesses in the different defenses that he faces and the areas he likes to attack. He goes through the different areas of the field and the different situations in which the outside veer is most effective.

Give your offense a change up to the inside veer and gain big yards this season using the outside veer play!

2011 2A State Champs; over a 4-year span (2008-11), Craig's teams have averaged 40 points a game running the Pistol Flexbone

Imagine defending the Flexbone from the shotgun, add to that a quick passing game, a sprint out package and a rock solid play action passing game. That would be a nightmare for any defensive coordinator, but a high scoring dream for you. Art Craig discusses his passing game and the use of multiple formations to create his unique combination offense.

Using arm bands to simplify the learning process for his players, Coach Craig shows you how he puts the package together using word association. He uses names instead of numbers for the plays, formations and pass protections. You'll get a detailed look at Craig's Wolf-Gun Flexbone quick game, play action, and sprint game, which allows you to:

  • Teach a simple yet effective passing game
  • Stress the defense to defend a strong passing game to go with the veer option
  • Create a unique offensive scheme that is fun to coach and fun for your players
The quick passing game is a polished and calibrated offensive force that will stun the defense with laser-like accuracy. You will learn to install a quarterback drop called the Turn 2 approach for the Quick Game. This technique will greatly reduce the possibility of a bad throw from your quarterback. Such calls as Falcon for the fade route, Reno for the read route, Ohio for the out & seam combination as well as six others make up the quick game. Each route is designed to be perfectly calibrated with the quarterback's drop. The quick game is shown using game footage as Craig discusses each play as well as the blocking calls and rules.

The Play Action Passing Game provides extra time for your quarterback because the defensive line must respect the possibility of the run. This will allow your wide receivers to move in space as aggressive, defensive play-makers' freeze to respect the play action. Using practice film, Craig coaches you through the quarterback steps on the jet sweep play action before showing you game film with Y-Seam, Switch, Radar, Wisconsin, Oscar, Lava and Plato Sideline routes. You will also learn which running plays compliment the Play Action Passing Game.

The Sprint Game adds yet another dimension to the explosive Flexbone Pistol Offense. An athletic quarterback can attack the perimeter of the defense by using his feet as a weapon. After showing you the correct footwork for the quarterback, Craig shows game footage to coach you through the Florida, Hammer, Flame, Trail and Read sprint out passing game.

This DVD would help any coach looking to add to his passing attack and makes the Flexbone Pistol Offense package an extremely effective, dangerous offense.

It's time to make the defense pay! If the defense is so concerned about stopping your option game, this is your chance to hit them for big gains and big plays.

Art Craig explains how to confuse defenses by adding complementary plays and multiple formations to the Flexbone Pistol Offense. He delivers six dynamic plays that complement the veer as well as formations and motions designed to outnumber your opponent at the point of attack. Coach Craig shares game video of the complementary plays as he coaches you through each play:

  • The Wolford Toss - Used to get the ball outside when the tackle box is loaded up to stop the veer package.
  • Counter Trey - Gives the offense a counter play that wreaks havoc on defenses that flow hard to the ball.
  • The Sweep Series - Another way to attack the perimeter of the defense for a team that does not have a great offensive line.
The offensive package would not be complete without an old school power play. The Super Power puts more bodies at the point of attack than is legal!

Coach Craig's mix of "chalk talk" and game footage demonstrates how to incorporate motion and thoroughly details the nuances of executing these plays versus all defensive fronts and adjustments to give the offense the advantage.

Regardless of your offensive scheme, the complementary plays and formations used in the Flexbone Pistol can be adapted to any offensive scheme and are sure to create a headache for the teams on your schedule.

Surprise the defense by starting your goal line offense at the 15 yard line!

Art Craig lays out his amazing attack plan for the red zone, which starts on the 15 yard line. Craig's philosophy is that the defense is not in the goal-line-stand mindset at the 15 yard line, which makes your offensive play book wide open from a Compressed Formation to a Spread Formation.

Coach Craig uses multiple formations, motions and set plays to create his high percentage red zone package. His unstoppable Flexbone Pistol goal line package includes:

  • The Eagle Formation which spreads the defense for his counter and passing game.
  • The Tiger Formation creates a tight end set.
  • The Red Formation is a double-tight, double-wing formation used for running the Outside Veer and the bone crunching Super Power.
Craig coaches you up with game footage and shows you how to benefit from the multiple formations to score at will in the red zone.

Included in this DVD is Craig's No-Huddle Offense thoughts and procedures that he has uses to dictate the speed of the game. Craig shows that you can call the No-Huddle several ways; with signals, wristbands or with numbers. The Flexbone Pistol uses a 20 play script in practice to prepare the quarterback and team for critical game decisions. The fast-paced Flexbone Pistol No Huddle Offense creates enormous pressure on the defense. If the defense does not align properly they are "in for a long night."

If your offense is struggling in the red zone or you want to implement the no-huddle offense this is a must-have DVD!

Took three losing programs to playoffs. Led Porterville to four straight playoff appearances, back-to-back section championship appearances.

Rick Stewart gives you an overview of the entire Pistol Wing-T Offense, and apply it to your youth football program starting at a 3rd and 4th grade level and scaffolding it to build towards your high school program.

Starting with the philosophy behind the offense, Coach Stewart details how the defense can never be right due to the simply complexity of the play calling embedded in this system. He goes into explicit terminology that is critical to understanding his system. The installation of the Wing-T starts with a power-point of each of the three "families," Belly, Sweep and Down, before practice video is shown of the drills that make the offense so successful. He explains how he classifies each play into a certain family that incorporates a similar blocking scheme. He gives great coaching points for the quarterback when reading the defense he explains his term "ride and decide" when reading a lineman. Coach Stewart explains the knuckleball snap that he uses in the pistol offense.

Coach Stewart does a nice job of identifying what the three different Youth levels; Pee Wee's 3-4, Juniors 5-6, and Seniors 7-8 would be capable of executing within the offense. He also teaches them with no motion in the Lucky and Ringo formation, which is beneficial to the younger levels.

He takes it one step further by establishing the practice schedule to set youth programs up for successful implementation and transfer to the field. Coach Stewart has a very detailed approach to practice and scheduling, which he goes over with you on the video. The practice plans are matched with drills that allow you to develop the skills needed to run this offense. The practice drills go in-depth into the small skills like football, cadence rhythm, motion timing, etc. that make this offense effective.

This DVD will give coaches an inside look at everything you will need to install the Pistol Wing-T system into their youth program. This video gives coaches the foundational bedrock needed to understand the entire run, pass, and trick play series. The philosophy, terminology, practice plans, and drills video on this DVD set the stage for full implementation of this system at all youth levels.

Took three losing programs to playoffs. Led Porterville to four straight playoff appearances, back-to-back section championship appearances.

Rick Stewart has a background of working with youth league football. He believes it is the foundation for any successful football program. Coach Stewart takes to the field to explain a step-by-step progression of how to develop a passing game that is built off of the run game. Stewart's passing game is simplistic enough to be executed at a high level within a youth program.

Coach Stewart goes through an overview of the Pistol Wing-T passing, starting with game different rules to use in the passing game. He gives examples of different rules that he has added youth humor to help the players remember their rule.

From there, Coach Stewart goes through an in-depth walk-through of the basic pass protections against multiple fronts. He walks you through how to pick up blitzes by the defense while making adjustments to the pass protection with the play-action, chop, and sprint out passing families.

Coach Stewart then progresses to the routes, terminology, and adjustments to the play-action game against multiple defensive fronts using the sweep, belly, down, and dive run fits. He shows you different ways of attacking various defenses with the chop passing family, which is similar to the one-step passing game. He does an amazing job of describing how to first exploit defensive backs by using pass plays to the wide receivers followed by the running backs and finally the tight ends.

Finally, Coach Stewart does an outstanding job of using the speed of youth quarterbacks with the sprint out family passing routes. This series puts tremendous pressure to protect outside and will allow for the running game to open up in the middle as the outside is attacked with the sprint out family. He also shares the fundamentals for running a great wrap around draw that will help negate a strong pass rush, which gives an offense a way to keep the defense off balance.

Throughout each phase of the passing game Coach Stewart masterfully walks coaches through progression of when to call each play based on how the defense is reacting to the run game and how the defense is adjusting to various offensive formations. These adjustments are vital when making game time decisions that can make the difference on game day.

It is all demonstrated on the field and on the whiteboard as coach presents when and how to make the right pass call fro your team.

With an easy to follow approach Stewart provides an in-depth look at a successful way to have your athletes succeed at the youth level. Implement this approach for your program next season for quick and efficient success.

Took three losing programs to playoffs. Led Porterville to four straight playoff appearances, back-to-back section championship appearances.

Do you have a plan on how to attack multiple defensive fronts and the techniques in those defenses? If not, Rick Stewart gives you a blueprint on attacking every defense you will see with formations and his play series from the Sweep, Down and Belly families.

Coach Stewart starts by looking at multiple formations that outnumber the defense at the point of attack to create blocking angles making the Pistol Wing-T so devastating. Stewart aligns the defense and how they can adjust in various ways, while showing how each formation will take advantage of those adjustments. See how the X-Tight formation creates an unbalanced line giving the offense a numbers advantage at the point of attack. Learn how you can run the "Wildcat" out of the empty set putting your best runner at QB to take advantage of the holes created be spreading out the defense.

Coach then breaks down off balance and trick formations to run plays in the short yardage, medium yardage, and long yardage situations. Many plays have built in options that allow the offense to run multiple plays depending on defensive adjustments to the formations all of the plays specifically and how they are executed both on the board and on the field. Coach breaks down his plays into categories:

  • Reverses and sweep passes - Coach Stewart gives you some great ways to use your speed against aggressive defenses. This can give you an opportunity for a big play against an aggressive defense and put the ball in the hands of your best athletes.
  • Double Pass - Coach Stewart gives you three double passes to use after running your screens that you can use to surprise the defense.
  • Counters - An effective counter scheme to take advantage of defensive adjustments.
  • Short Yardage - A short yardage package of four plays to use in the red zone or in short yardage situations.

He draws all of his plays on the board with their formations and then take it to the field to see these plays in motion. He does a fantastic job using the terminology established in the first video to easily call various formations that players will be able to adjust to. He breaks down each formation and walks through every trick play or un-conventional play that can be run out of those formations based on how defenses might line up.

There is much more to this video as Stewart shares his game script with you as well as how he reads the defense to call his offense. You will learn how to attack a penetrating defensive line, when to attack the flank of the defense, what plays to run versus a 3 technique and what plays to run away from one

If you are a youth football coach and looking for an edge this upcoming season, Rick Stewart's trick plays can do just that. With youth defenses rarely adjusting to unique formations or unbalanced looks, this will be a sure fire winner for your collection.

One of the most understudied/understood parts of successful athletic programs, at all levels, is the importance of quality practice planning and organization of every practice. Coach JT Curtis is a master of organization and in this DVD, he covers every period of the Patriots practices.

Curtis urges coaches to never go to any practice without a plan that is shared with all of your coaches. He also shows examples of his practice plans and the extreme detail every period gets. Four keys to every practice are covered in this video starting with scripting plays for both offense and defense. Curtis then covers the importance of getting your second string players enough quality reps. Strategically scheduling breaks within practice will allow your practices to run move effectively.

The final key Coach Curtis emphasizes is practice tempo - running practices at a high tempo allows you to simulate game situations more effectively and avoid wasting practice time on conditioning as a separate focus.

"Practices are truly where championships are won!"

Since 1975, many trendy football offenses have surfaced and become popular but Coach JT Curtis, coach of one of the most successful HS programs ever, has not changed a thing with the style and substance of the successful Veer Offense. Game footage and practice footage, along with marker board diagrams, clearly show how simple the offense is to teach and run. It is not a secret that the success of any offense starts with the offensive line, and the blocking assignments for the five main Veer Offense plays are covered in detail. The inside veer, outside veer, cutback play, ride pass and ride pass throwback blocking assignments are all covered versus the 50, 50 slide, 4-3, 4-4, 6-1, and 6-2 defenses. O-Line coach Mike Robertson covers the basic techniques for offensive lineman starting with stance and also covers, in detail, the combo blocks and scoop blocks the Patriots use to confuse and dominate defenses. Four board drills are covered to help develop offensive lineman. This is a "must have" DVD and complements Controlling Defensives with the Veer Offense!

The Veer Offense is not complicated and it is not fancy, however John Curtis Christian School has been baffling defenses with it since 1975! Since switching to the Veer Offense in 1975, John Curtis Christian School has reached the Louisiana HS State Championship Game 25 times, winning 19 titles. In this video, Coach JT Curtis covers every aspect of the Veer Offense and how to utilize it to control multiple defenses. Four keys are covered in executing this offense properly including how to neutralizing better defensive players, getting the ball to the perimeter, making the secondary play both sides of the field and eliminating coverages that make it difficult to throw the ball. This offense is designed to gain 3 1/2 yards per play - allowing your team to control the chains and the clock. Coach Curtis covers running back and quarterback assignments in detail and also the alignments in executing the triple option. He also diagrams five plays which will allow you to completely implement the Veer Offense. The plays covered are the outside veer, inside veer, ride pass, ride pass throwback and the cutback play.

Keeping it Simple

Simplicity is the key for a successful running game. In this video, Coach Nick Codutti will break down his 'bread and butter' wide zone run game that is almost always guaranteed to net positive yards!

Coach Codutti stresses the importance of keeping it simple for all players to learn their roles in the play. You don't need to be the biggest or fastest player to be successful with this run.

Running Backs

Coach Codutti explains what the running back is looking for, where he needs to run to, and the importance of getting vertical. By using different formations to run the same play, defenses get confused on what is happening and the offense will exploit and score on that confusion. You will see how they teach the wide zone fundamentals to running backs; this is critical as the wide zone concept has very specific rules to follow by the backs - this video presents them well!

Quarterback Play

Coach Codutti will break down the quarterback play in the wide zone as well. Codutti shares how to use the quarterback to hold opposite defensive end and outside linebackers so they won't be able to stop the run as well as teaching how to use the quarterback to run the wide zone to be a dual threat. Teaching the wide zone fundamentals to the quarterbacks is important because the quarterback will help set up the running backs on the path and also be a fake with their boot to help keep the heat off the backs.

Offensive Line

From there the video brings in other coaches that discuss how they teach the offensive line to run the wide zone blocking scheme. Teaching the wide zone blocking fundamentals to

the OL is critical because there are very specific rules that must be followed by the OL; this video does an excellent job of explaining the frontside and backside blocks/combos.

Placing all these features together will make the wide zone your go to running play in the seasons ahead!

All great offenses have a passing game to complement their run game!

If you have the wide zone in your offense, you will need boot action and keepers to keep the defense honest and create explosive plays in the passing game.  Coach Codutti will teach you multiple ways to run the boot play and other keepers off of your run game to help keep defenses guessing and putting points on the board.

In 2022 Condutti's Fulshear HS offense averaged 15.8 yards per completion because of their play action and boot game, and in this great video, you will learn how to make that a part of your offense as well.

Multiple Film Clips

Coach Codutti and the Fulshear staff are going to show you multiple examples of all of the different ways you can run the boot play off the wide zone look.  You will get a number of route concepts that you can run while coaching the finer points of each.

There is a detailed breakdown of each position group's assignments and adjustments to help you coach the play to be as effective as possible.  Using both his own film and assembled film from other top programs, you will get examples of every imaginable way you can incorporate the wide zone boot into your offense.

Explosive plays from multiple looks

Creating shot plays off of your run looks should be the goal of any offense.  The boot off of the wide zone will leave receivers running wide open for easy scores.  You'll learn how to throw 2 man, 3 man, and 4 man boot concepts along with throwback screens and other complementary plays.  Coach Codutti's team threw for over 3,000 yards off of this play alone in his last season at Tomball High School in Texas.

Defense will be left guessing as multiple formations and route combinations create unpredictable situations for them to defend.  This play by itself can single handedly transform your passing game into a lethal attack that will create an explosive offense.

Learn how to make simple changes to expand the options on the play and get more mileage out of simple looks.  A rules based approach will always have your players understanding their assignments to create confidence in your attack.

This video is a must have for anyone running a zone based offense!

Many offenses can lack an identity, but the wide zone run play gives your offense a base run play to hang your hat on.

At every stop in his career, Coach Nick Codutti has installed the wide zone with great success. In this video, Codutti explains how you can make it a staple in your offense arsenal as well.

The wide zone puts defenses in conflict, makes them run sideline to sideline, and has simple adjustments to make it work against any defensive look you will see.  In 2022, the Fulshear HS (TX) offense averaged 8.8 yards per carry on wide zone; Coach Codutti and his staff are going to share the secrets on how they did it!

This video features detailed explanations of how the play works while showing multiple video examples of how the intricacies of it all work together.

Offensive Line Play

Coach Codutti's staff will show you how to install this play in a systematic way that allows your offensive line to block it against any defensive alignment or pressure.  Because the rules are so simple, they can be applied to every position along the offensive line including your tight ends.

Codutti's staff will walk you through multiple video clips and explain the coaching points on each one of them to you.  You will see many different ways you can run the play from multiple looks without any changes to the scheme up front.  The four rules of wide zone will be explained using film with multiple examples of how to apply each of them to your program.

Coaching the Backfield

Allow your backs to play fast without thinking using a simple system of 'If/Then' rules.  Those same rules can be applied to any ball carrier who runs the play, whether it be a running back, quarterback, or simply a talented player lined up in a Wildcat set that you need to find a way to get touches.  Create a one cut run scheme that grinds opponents down and becomes more explosive as the game wears on.

Coach Codutti shows you how you can use this play in multiple ways to stress a defense and begin to build play action boot passes off of it.  This video will show you how you can force a defense to play discipline and then use their rules against them to create explosive plays in the run game.

In this terrific video, you will learn the basics that will allow you to master the wide zone and help your team become lethal in the run game!

Vienna-Goreville (IL) High School Head Coach;
7x Coach of the Year; Illinois High School Football Coach Hall of Fame (1995)

High school football today is all about spreading the field and throwing the ball around. This leaves a huge opportunity to be different and unique. What better way to frustrate defenses than to use an offense made productive by the likes of Barry Switzer and Bear Bryant?

Using whiteboard diagrams and film footage, 47-year veteran of high school football, Mike Rude, explains in detail the base plays needed to run a multiple formation wishbone attack. Coach Rude explains all the necessary blocking rules, techniques, and schemes for a formidable rushing offense.

Multiple Formations

Prepare to eat up your opponent's practice time when you show multiple formations that enable you to expose your opponent's weaknesses on defense. Rude explains the basic play calling terminology, formations and alignment rules for each position. He then diagrams several formations, including ends tight, ends out, double tight-double wing, flex, patriot, army; and several unbalanced formations including green, heavy, and over.

Coach Rude also diagrams how he can tag formation calls to move a receiver or halfback into an alternate alignment to give the defense a different formation to defend. You'll get the terminology Rude uses to make this happen.

The Base Plays

This video will show you the base plays that you should use to attack and expose your opponent's defense. Coach Rude demonstrates multiple points of attack, from quick hitters inside, deadly off-tackle plays, and big play perimeter runs.

Rude diagrams 34/23, which is an off-tackle lead play that features two lead blockers, and 44/43, which is another lead play with the fullback carrying the ball. He also diagrams the belly series, buck trap series, quick pitch, and blast play. These series of plays give the offense a balanced rushing attack while being designed to outnumber the defense at the point of attack.

Blocking Schemes

Every base run play follows basic blocking rules that Coach Rude explains and emphasizes to his players, giving them the ability to never be wrong on a blocking assignment. When defenses adjust to stop your offense, Rude explains the perfect blocking scheme corrections to keep the ball and the chains moving. You'll learn how to teach:

  • Step Blocks
  • Fold Blocks
  • When to double team
  • When to cross-block
  • Killer trap blocks
  • Gut blocking and more

Rude gives an explanation on why each adjustment is used and how he coaches his players to execute the various blocks. You'll also get valuable game footage of every base play to see how they look in game scenarios.

This offense is still credited with holding the NCAA record for single-season rushing average: 472 yds per game (OU 1971). What better way to send a message than with physical, running football? This video will help you learn formations, blocking schemes, and multiple points of attack that will destroy your opponent on game day!

Running the football in the age of the spread is great way to establish a hard-nosed identity with your players. What's more is a counter or option play that goes for big yards is exciting to watch. Here, you will learn from an experienced and dedicated coach that will keep your offense scoring and simply destroy your opponent on game day.

Using whiteboard diagrams and film footage, 47-year veteran of high school football, Mike Rude, explains the counter and option plays needed against well-coached defenses. Coach Rude explains all the necessary blocking rules, techniques, and schemes to keep you competitive.

The Counters & Reverses

After pounding the rock with the base plays, any well-coached defense will look to take away your "bread & butter" plays. When this happens, they'll be vulnerable to the Wishbone's misdirection plays. The counter series includes the counter fold, counter iso, fire trap, and sam reverse. Coach Rude also shows examples of each play with game video while emphasizing key coaching points.

Outside Veer

The outside veer play involves the quarterback reading the end man on the line of scrimmage as a "dive key." Coach Rude explains the read progression for the quarterback on both the dive and pitch phase of the play and also details the importance of closing the offensive lineman splits in order to make the play more efficient. He shows you how the triangle block is used against a "50" defense and the responsibilities for the load blocking halfback and pitch back.

Inside Veer and Midline Option

Coach Rude diagrams what he terms 'veer 5,' which is a triple option play designed to attack the defensive tackles. He explains the read progression for the quarterback and coaching points for the halfbacks and fullback.

You'll also see the 'veer solid,' which is designed to be run to the tight end. The "solid" call tells the tight end to block the player responsible for the quarterback on the option. This scheme simplifies the read progression for the quarterback and eliminates the defense bringing two edge players to force the quarterback to execute in a hurried manner.

The midline option is designed to attack even front defenses and is probably the easiest option play to read from the quarterback's standpoint.

Blocking Schemes

Most high schools that follow NFHS rules have outlawed cut blocking. Most colleges that run triple option football rely on cut blocking from their running backs and lineman. Thus, it's a common argument against running the triple option with Federation rules, but this is where Coach Rude's experience comes in. He'll teach how he's modified the blocking schemes with special legal blocks to keep this style of offense lethal on Friday nights.

Give your Wishbone offense attack a boost with these great counter and option looks!

Having a relentless running attack is advantageous for many reasons, but one of the added benefits is that it allows you to pass and score with great effectiveness. Mike Rude, with his years of experience at the helm of some very successful wishbone offenses, shares with you his go-to favorites for exposing defenses that sleep on the pass game.

Using whiteboard diagrams and film footage, Coach Rude explains the lethal passing attack he uses to keep defenses honest and get points on the board. He explains all the necessary blocking rules, passing routes, and coaching points to keep your team competitive.

Play Action Passing

Having a run-oriented offense like the multiple Wishbone offense will allow for some huge gains on play-action passes. Coach Rude demonstrates some of his favorites, including plays that he had problems defending as a defensive coordinator. Included are the belly bootleg pass and Harrisburg pass. Rude explains the routes, pass protection, and footwork and mechanics of the quarterback on each play. Also, Coach Rude details the read progression he teaches quarterbacks as well as several "tags" that he can add onto the play call which will adjust a specific player's routes to take advantage of how the defense is playing.

You'll also learn how to quickly modify simple play-action passes to exploit any opposing defender who's overly conscious about the run game. Without a doubt, play-action passing is the knockout blow to put away your game day opponent.

Quick Passing

Many defenses you face will put eight to nine players near the line of scrimmage to stop your offense. You can soften their attack and their reaction time with quick passing. Coach Rude diagrams what he terms "44/43 pass," a play designed to be an isolation route to the split end. He explains the blocking rules for the play and quarterback footwork and read progression. The five main routes used with this play are hitch, slant, speed out, fade, and whip read. Also, Rude diagrams how they can throw a "flare pass" to the halfback.

Run & Shoot Passing

One of the best kept secrets of Wishbone football is the fact that the modern Flexbone offense run by Georgia Tech, Army, & Navy is a hybrid of the Wishbone and the Run & Shoot offense made popular in the 1980s. An early form of the spread offense, receivers and quarterbacks would adjust routes mid-play based on how the defenders reacted after the snap. Rude has implemented some of the basic principles of this offense to use against well-coached opponents who can stop the run game. Some tried-and-true Run & Shoot plays include:

  • Sting
  • Slide
  • Slow Screen

Finally, Coach Rude includes the "Air Force" pass, a highly unique passing scheme designed to throw away from the flow of the play. This scheme is sure to catch defenses off guard. Rude diagrams two main routes that he utilizes with the "Air Force" series.

As an added bonus, Coach Rude diagrams the lead draw play that he utilizes with his offense.

There's nothing like a big pass play that goes for a touchdown, and with the multiple Wishbone offense, expect to have a lot of them!

UNSTOPPABLE is the MUST read evolution of the eight year development of an offensive philosophy. It has consistently allowed Smyrna High School to average 37 points per game over that span of time. It has also helped to produce a winning percentage of .822 and 4 state championships!

This video e-book, which is loaded with diagrams, game and practice video clips, and detailed “how to do it” segments tells the entire story behind the development of an offense that married our spread attack with the old-school principles of the double-wing. The concept was born out of our desire to better control our short yardage and two-point conversion situations. It resulted in the creation of our Earthquake package and exploded into an offensive philosophy that has truly become…UNSTOPPABLE!

This philosophy is the brainchild of offensive coordinator and co-author of the book, Michael Marks, who began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Delaware during their 2003 national championship season. He has continued to coach for the past 20 years as an offensive coordinator for several high schools including Eastern Christian Academy and culminating at Smyrna High, in Smyrna Delaware. Co-author, Anthony Marks, has been in the high school football ranks for 45 years at various schools in upstate New York as both a defensive coordinator and head coach. In Air Raid Offense II, Hatcher covers the third key to the Air Raid Offense: utilizing your tight end and slot receiver. Coach Hatcher teaches and diagrams plays that add diversity to your offense without confusing your players. Some quarterbacks who have excelled under the Air Raid offense are Duante Culpepper (Minnesota Vikings), Tim Couch (Cleveland Browns), and Dusty Bonner (2-time Harlan Hill Trophy Winner). Y-stick, Y-corner, all-curl, and Y-crossing are a few of the plays Hatcher shares that can be easily incorporated into your offense. Hatcher also covers progressive reads to make any quarterback successful in this offense.

Coach Hatcher covers all the offensive drills you need to put your players in position to be successful running the Air Raid Offense! Six main drills are covered in extreme detail for added instruction. These are the same drills Coach Hatcher uses everyday in practice to develop his teams into high-powered offensive machines. They work such areas as the center quarterback exchange, quarterback drop, throwing accuracy, running crisp routes, and they simulate game situations. The benefit of these drills is the advance preparation simulated for players and your coaches for making offensive or defensive calls in frantic parts of the game. This video is a "must-see" for anyone looking for different ways to excite players and maximize practice time.

Hal Mumme's extensive resume has allowed him to see every offense in football. Using game footage, he shares some of the plays and explosive offensive strategies from the Air Raid Offense. Coach Mumme starts with warm-up drills. These drills are done at one-quarter speed in position groups. All receivers are involved in the Noose & Settle drill, which is a catch, tuck and turn up the field exercise. The Pat & Go is an individual drill for receivers that help develop the skill of looking the ball in over their shoulder. Performing a set of unit drills develops the quick game. A segment of quick screens is another important part of the practice routine. One-on-one passing versus defensive backs and the inside drill are valued drills within this offensive attack. Mumme wraps up this presentation with team drills and game plan.

The beauty of the Air Raid Offense, according to Coach Mumme, is that players love to play this offense and fans flock to see it. To complement the passing attack, Mumme presents the basics of the Air Raid running attack. Mumme starts with the basic Iso situation. He covers the alignment and blocking technique for the Iso and the Iso Flipset. Lead Draw Iso and the three technique are displayed on overhead and by using game footage. A focus in the running game is the draw play. From the open set in pass action, the draw is used to off set the throw. Because the pass is thrown about 55 times a game, pass protection is of utmost importance. Walk throughs and extensive use of videotape aid the coach's preparation for practice and games. Teaching levels with offensive linemen is critical in this system. Also covered are the odd man front, the even man front, and nickel.

Spreading the field horizontally and vertically must be understood before getting into this offensive attack. Details of the inside and outside receivers are covered in detail. Inside receivers are taught to take an outside release and occupy defenders. Teaching the concept of settle up or run is important in terms of counteracting the strategy of the defense. Mumme covers his four vertical set, which is a no back set where the tight end becomes like a running back. Another version of four verticals is Y-Sail, which is run out of several sets. Session 1: The Four Vertical Offense - featuring Mike Leach
Implement the same "four vertical" pass concept used by Coach Leach to spearhead his prolific Air Raid offense at Texas Tech. Coach Leach discusses the finer points of quarterback and receiver play in the "four vertical" pass concept to improve your team's completion percentage when running the play. Learn to modify the routes in the four vertical pass concept to attack different coverages by stretching the field and getting the ball to your athletes.

Session 2: Running the Mesh Play - featuring Hal Mumme
Learn from one of the most prolific offensive minds in coaching as Hal Mumme teaches what he considers to be his most successful offensive play, "The Mesh." In this section, you will learn the nuances of the mesh play whether run versus man or zone defenses. Coach Mumme also discusses various option routes using the mesh play and provides details on how to drill this concept. Adding the "Mesh" to your playbook is sure to add points on the board.

Session 3: The Four Greatest Pass Routes in America - featuring Tom Horne
Coach Horne shares two routes you can use versus a cover 3 including a route out of a bunch formation. He also delivers two routes you can use out of an empty set to defeat a cover 4.

Session 4: Motions, Movements and Drills - featuring Pat Poore
Pat Poore passes along 11 drills for your receivers. These drills focus on extending on the catch, ball security, getting vertical as fast as possible, back shoulder catches, "rebound" the football on press coverage, and more. You'll also see his motion tree for receivers that helps create mismatches; his "Money" play in a 2x2 set that crams two plays into one; and a "Cash" play in a 3x1 set.

FD-04113A: with Corey Fipps, Belhaven University Co-Offensive Coordinator;
former Faulkner University Offensive Coordinator;
In 2011, the Eagles led the nation in total offense, averaging 520 yards per game. Faulkner University was also third in the nation in scoring with 43.5 points scored per game

Faulkner University's football program is only five years old; however, with Corey Fipps's Air Raid, up-tempo offense, Faulkner has turned into an offensive juggernaut.

In just his third year as the Offensive Coordinator at Faulkner University, Coach Fipps directed his high flying Eagle offense to a record-shattering season. The Eagles led the nation in total offense, averaging 520 yards a game and Faulkner was third in the nation in scoring at 43.5 points per game in 2011.

As a former player Coach Fipps understands the need to keep concepts simple yet effective. Watch as he presents his version of the spread offense in a no non-sense approach. Experience an offense that will:

  • "Spread-em and shred-em"
  • Snap the ball in 12 to 14 seconds putting incredible pressure on the defense
  • Provide easy installation with limited line calls
  • Combine the inside zone and quick screen into one offensive package that counts the defenders in the box to determine which play will be executed
First, Fipps shares his personnel requirements for each position before taking you through the basics of the offense. Formations for the spread include a 2 x 2, a 3 x 1, and a 2 x 1 with split backs; a 2 x 1 pistol and a 1 x 1 three back attack complete the attack.

Coach Fipps diagrams his inside zone and quick screen combination plays using a power point presentation. After covering the simple run blocking rules and play mechanics, Fipps shows you several cut-ups from game footage coaching you through how the plays are executed versus multiple fronts and coverages. The unique combination of the inside zone tagged with the quick screen on the backside of the play becomes a number count for the quarterback. If the receivers on the backside have the numbers the play turns into a quick screen, if the box contains less than 6 defenders the quarterback runs the inside zone. Fipps also shows you the lethal combination out of a 3 x 1 formation in which a bubble screen is run to the strong side and a fast screen is executed to the one receiver side.

Included in this video is pop pass out of a trips formation that is tagged to the inside zone for another deadly combination. With the pop pass the quarterback reads the inside backer to determine if he throws the pop pass or executes the inside zone. Fipps tells his quarterback, "when in doubt run the zone."

Coach Fipps offers a solution to running the spread with fewer scholarship players and has the statistics to support his success. If you are looking for a way to include spread concepts in your existing offense or make a switch to the spread, Coach Fipps offers an easy to follow plan.

former Faulkner University Offensive Coordinator;
In 2011, the Eagles led the nation in total offense, averaging 520 yards per game. Faulkner University was also third in the nation in scoring with 43.5 points scored per game

Implementing the spread offense is about more than just the passing game. Coaches must have a strong running attack to keep defenses honest. Faulkner University has grown into a football power in a short time with the help of the Eagle spread offense.

Using a power point presentation, Coach Fipps details his Stretch, Q-Screen, Slow Screen and Fox Package before showing you game cut-ups of each play and describing the nuances that make each play successful.

  • The Faulkner Stretch Play is unique because it attacks the defense in three different ways from multiple formations and backfield actions. The action may be different but the same blocking scheme is implemented by the offensive line on all three plays allowing for simplicity and tremendous execution.
  • The Q-Screen is a quick hitting screen that gets the ball to the edge in a hurry with the offensive line leading the way.
  • The Slow Screen will get the ball to one of your best athletes on the edge where he can showcase his talents.
  • The Fox Package is a great compliment to the Q-Screen. You will love to call the "Fox." When the defense gets aggressive, get behind the corners by faking the Q-Screen for an easy score.

Coach Fipps shows his screens from a variety of formations and motions making the screen game difficult to defend by even a championship-caliber team. These plays also help develop confidence in your quarterback by providing easy completions and they can help a struggling offensive line. The screens can become even more effective with the multiple formations and motions that are utilized and covered by Fipps.

This screen package can be installed and extremely effective from the Junior High to college level. Even a novice could find success after watching Coach Fipps present the plays.

Order now and study the nuances on how Coach Fipps has attacked defenses with both the run and screen games in route to becoming the #1 offense in NAIA in 2011.

Develop a high percentage passing game that moves the chains and scores from anywhere on the field.

Corey Fipps shares his quick game and deep passing game and shows you how simple it is to run an explosive offensive scheme that no defense will want to line up against. The Eagle no-huddle offense snaps the ball in as little as 12 seconds and the up tempo style is a nightmare for any defense to defend.

Coach Fipps presents his passing game with a power point presentation and game footage in which he coaches you up on the essentials of each play. Routes shown in the quick game include:

  • Quick Out - A high percentage throw when combined with combination tagged routes.
  • Slants - See how to use slant routes from a 3 x 1 set to maintain momentum in the red zone.
  • Stick - Flood the curl/flat zone and place defenders in conflict while creating easy reads for your quarterback.
  • Spot - Create defensive mismatch ups.
Fipps discusses the MOR release, (mandatory outside release) used in the quick out and how vital it is for the dynamics of the play to work properly.

The deep game features four verticals and Fipps discusses simple adjustments you can use against different coverages.

  • Sail - Take advantage of linebackers walling off the inside vertical routes.
  • Y Cross - Open up the middle of the field with a combination of specific routes.
Coaches from every level will gain knowledge from Coach Fipps and the High Flying Eagle Passing Game.

FD-04576: with Neal Brown, West Virginia University Head Coach;
former Troy University Head Coach;
former University of Kentucky Offensive Coordinator, named 2011 National Offensive Coordinator of the Year by Rivals

Neal Brown's success as an offensive coordinator stems from his ability to run the Air Raid offense and adjust to defensive schemes. In this clinic lecture, Coach Brown discusses the four concepts of the air raid offense that he utilizes on third down situations. He gives detailed explanations of a quick-passing game concept, a drop-back passing game concept and two different combination run-pass plays.

Coach Brown begins by explaining the philosophy and goals behind the offense he used successfully at Texas Tech and now uses at Kentucky. Using play diagrams, rules sheets and game footage, Coach Brown breaks down his position-by-position rules, shows wide receiver routes, goes in-depth on the quarterback reads and provides extensive film cut-ups on each passing concept. This information is the backbone behind the third down concepts he explains in the remainder of the presentation.

One-Step Quick Game
The first strategy Coach Brown covers is a one-step quick game concept that utilizes a 3-by-1 formation to simplify the quarterback's reads. The concept allows for a 1-on-1 possibility on the backside and an easy read of the nickel defender on the play side.

Drop Back Passing
The second concept is a drop-back pass that creates great 1-on-1 match-ups for the offense. Coach Brown has simplified this play into an easy one-defender read for the quarterback that makes the defense wrong every time. He explains the different backside tags that take advantage of defensive adjustments and shares key coaching points like always completing the skinny post before the hash marks.

Combination Plays
Finally, Coach Brown explains two different combination run-pass plays that give the quarterback a pass/run option that will keep your team out of negative situations. The first play is a simple 3x1 formation with a one-step pass play that the quarterback can convert to a draw play. This play is a post snap read for the quarterback. The line blocks for the draw and the quarterback either throws the quick pass or hands off the draw, depending on defensive keys.

The second combo concept is from a 2x2 set that combines an inside zone run play with a backside out route that provides a simple read for the quarterback. This is a pre-snap read for the quarterback. Using an easy one-defender key of the flat defender, the quarterback exploits the defense with a quick out route or the inside zone run play.

Get three new, easy-to-utilize passing concepts designed to beat all defensive fronts and coverages, while keeping thinking to a minimum for both the quarterback and offensive line whose rules will never change.

their coaching partnership encapsulated the genesis of the potent Air Raid Offense, for which Mike Leach was known as the 'Mastermind' behind the offense!

4x State Championship appearances (2012, 2014, 2018, 2021)

The Flexbone offense, featuring triple option concepts, can be one of the most difficult offenses to defend. In this video, Coach Brad Seaburg breaks down a basic triple option play: the Inside Veer. He details keys, reads, and fundamentals by position that are necessary to install and execute the Inside Veer.

Inside Veer

First, you'll get an overview of the Flexbone offense, including some of the base formations that Coach Seaburg's team utilizes to run the Inside Veer play. Seaburg also diagrams the offensive line technique calls and slot calls to determine who the dive key and pitch key are on each play.

Four basic defensive looks are commonly seen, and each look is covered in detail. Several examples of each defensive look are given, and both good and bad examples of execution are shown for instructional purposes. Coach Seaburg explains how he teaches his team to determine who the dive key is, determine who the pitch key is, and easily identify who the play-side slot is responsible for blocking.

Position Fundamentals

Seaburg explains some of the most important fundamental skills by position that are necessary for execution of the Inside Veer. Footwork and mechanics for the quarterback and fullback are explained in detail, and practice drill footage is used that teaches and reinforces proper fundamentals. Slot back fundamentals, wide receiver blocking techniques, and offensive line fundamentals are also covered. Some of the main concepts you will learn are:

  • How to drill the QB and fullback footwork and mesh reads
  • How to teach the slot's pitch relationship and the slot's play-side arc block
  • Wide receiver stalk blocking technique
  • Offensive line scoop and double team blocking fundamentals

With this video, you will gain a better understanding of the Inside Veer play within the Flexbone offense!

The Flexbone offense, featuring triple option concepts, is of the most difficult offensive attacks to defend year in and year out. In this video, Coach Brad Seaburg diagrams the Midline Follow and Midline Triple plays. Coach Seaburg details the keys, reads, and fundamentals by position that are necessary to install and execute these schemes.

Midline Follow

Seaburg starts by giving an explanation of the Midline Follow play. As he explains, it is a complementary play to the Inside Veer in that it gives the offense the opportunity to make an interior lineman the dive key, and allows the offense to take advantage of defensive teams that are heavily focused on scraping 2nd level defenders to the perimeter. Coach Seaburg covers the footwork and mechanics for the quarterback and fullback, as well as blocking rules for each player. You'll learn:

  • How to teach the fit block and shoulder block that are utilized by the slots.
  • How to coach the base and reverse base blocks used by the interior lineman.
  • The Midline Follow play run against several defensive alignments.

Midline Triple

Coach Seaburg also diagrams the Midline Triple play. The Midline Triple is a complementary play to the Inside Veer as it is a triple option play, but allows the offense to potentially read two defensive lineman rather than block them. Seaburg goes through the Midline Triple in detail, including blocking rules for a variety of defensive alignments and a simple count system to identify the dive key and pitch key. You'll learn how to teach the twirl motion used by the slots that takes advantage of defenses that try to rotate the secondary on motion. Additionally, Coach Seaburg shows several ways to handle a "0" nose based on the gameplan, plus drills that teach and reinforce proper fundamentals for the quarterback, fullback, and slots.

The Flexbone offense and the Inside Veer play are incredibly difficult to defend. With the Midline Follow and Midline Triple schemes, your team will be ready to set records this fall!

In this video, 2x Illinois State Champion head coach Brad Seaburg diagrams three counter plays that are used to complement the base Inside Veer play. He also shares an explosive reverse play and the zone dive play, both of which are explained in detail so you can take your Flexbone offense to another level!

Counter Plays

Coach Seaburg gives three counter plays that can be utilized with the Flexbone offense: the QB counter, the rocket toss counter, and the iso counter. He also diagrams the reverse play that is utilized to take advantage of fast flowing defenses. Specifics for each position on each play are covered in detail. You will learn:

  • How to teach the kick-out and wrap blocks used by backs and offensive lineman.
  • Several ways to block the QB counter and the rocket toss counter, including ways to change who the kick-out blocker is and who the wrap blocker is.
  • How to coach lead blockers on the reverse play so that they are in position to make their blocks to spring the play for a big gain.

Zone Dive

Coach Seaburg wraps his excellent presentation with a detailed look at the zone dive play. The zone dive is a complementary play to the Inside Veer in which the quarterback automatically hands the ball off to the fullback. The zone dive is a necessary play because it takes some of the pressure off the quarterback and gives the coach a way to run a hand-off play to the fullback when defenses try to "muddy the read" for the quarterback. Seaburg explains how the zone dive gives the offense a way to counter the "hanging read" that can confuse some quarterbacks.

Flexbone teams are consistently among some of the most explosive and highest scoring offenses in football. The counter plays, reverse, and the zone dive shown in this video will help your Flexbone offense shred defenses in the fall!

In this video, two-time Illinois State Champion head coach Brad Seaburg diagrams the passing game that can be utilized within a Flexbone offense. The passing game is the final piece of the puzzle in terms of making any Flexbone offense a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Pass Protection

Coach Seaburg gives a detailed description of the pass protection that is used in the Flexbone offense. He explains the technique used on individual blocks for both the front-side and back-side offensive lineman, as well as fullback and slot blocking assignments and technique. Additionally, coaching points to counter the blitz are covered and several examples are shown using game footage. Coach Seaburg explains:

  • How to teach the attack step and jump step for offensive lineman.
  • Pass protection schemes for play action, 3-step and 1-step passing games.
  • Coaching points for the fullback and slot back that enable these players to make their blocks more efficiently.

Pass Concepts

Next, Seaburg diagrams several of the passing game concepts he uses with his own team. Individual route mechanics, as well as quarterback footwork and ball handling are covered using both practice drill and game footage. Pass game route concepts covered include: The skinny/out, skinny/wheel, Bench/void, as well as quick game and now pass concepts. You will learn what to look for when determining whether to call a pass play, how to run the "2 minute pass drill" to work on timing and route running, and several simple yet effective ways to get the ball to a playmaker in space.

The passing game concepts of the Flexbone offense round out a terrifying scheme for defenses to cover. Add them to your playbook today!

FD-03801A: with Chris Ash,
Rutgers University Head Coach;
former University of Wisconsin Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach;
2010 Big Ten Co-champions

Chris Ash's philosophy behind the 4-3 Defense can be summed up in one word--Aggressive. In this overview of the 4-3, you get the basic formations, alignments and coverages of the defense that helped lead Wisconsin to the Rose Bowl and a share of the 2010 Big Ten Championship.

Ash describes the importance of being aggressive and hustling on every single play with a simple phrase--"Put the Ball Down." It is an attitude and mindset that dictates a readiness to play against anyone, anywhere at any time, no matter what the game situation.

This 4-3 Defense is zeroes in on five objectives:

  • Keep the opponent off the scoreboard.
  • We will stop the run. Make the offense one dimensional.
  • Must minimize big plays.
  • Must be great tacklers.
  • Create takeaways and score. It's all about the ball.
Using an in-depth power point presentation, Ash details every position in the defense. He explains simple terminology for alignments and gap responsibilities of the linemen, run fit concepts for linebackers (Stack, Bow, Boss and 4-Way) and man and zone coverages for the secondary.

Ash uses practice footage to show several drills that are run every day at the beginning of practice. These "defensive openers" emphasize techniques of pursuit, tackling, interception returns, forcing fumbles and recovering fumbles.

To complete the package, this DVD includes a bonus PDF that can be accessed on your computer and printed for your personal use. The PDF includes:

  • Descriptions for different kinds of man and zone coverages
  • Terminology for offensive personnel groups
  • A sample defensive play call sheet
  • Player communication responsibilities in the huddle
  • Detailed outlines of everything covered in the video

One of primary objectives of the 4-3 Defense is to stop the run. In this DVD, Chris Ash expands on concepts and player responsibilities to accomplish this objective. He includes nine crucial elements you need to emphasize to stop the run.

Ash teaches two types of eight-man fronts in great detail.

  • Cover 3: A three-deep, four-under zone coverage with safeties rotating to the strong side. It allows you to outnumber your opponent in the box at the point of attack and is adjustable so it can be used against any personnel or formation.
  • Tight Gray: A man free coverage that is ideal for stopping the run. Tight man-to-man coverage with a low hole and deep middle help.
For each front, Ash starts by showing diagrams of the basic fronts versus common offensive formations (lead weak, iso strong, power strong, etc.). He details alignments and responsibilities for linemen, linebackers and the secondary and uses animated diagrams to show how the defense reacts to different types of run plays. He wraps up the discussion of each front by showing several of these run fits in scrimmage footage.

This DVD includes a bonus PDF that can accessed on your computer and printed for your personal use when implementing this defense. This PDF includes all player responsibilities and diagrams discussed and shown in the video.

Pick up the key concepts and coverages you need to shut down the passing game using the 4-3 defense.

Wisconsin contains the pass with man coverages and two types of zone coverages. Match-Up Zones have defenders trying to match up with receivers in tight coverage, reading the release of the ball rather than the quarterback. Peer Zones have defenders working to get to a designated area of the field, focusing on the quarterback and getting great breaks on the ball.

Ash delivers a detailed explanation of two zone coverages.

  • Cover 3: A three-deep, four-under coverage with safeties rotating to the strong side. This flexible coverage is effective against the pass and the run and is adjustable so it can be used against any personnel or formation.
  • Cover 2: A two-deep, five-under coverage with the corners rolled up on the receivers and safeties with half-field coverage. This coverage is very good against a quick passing attack and is solid against perimeter runs.
In discussing each coverage, Ash starts by showing diagrams of the basic formations versus common offensive sets (pro, slot). He details alignments and responsibilities for linemen, linebackers and the secondary and discusses situation-based rules for these positions. He wraps up the discussion of each coverage with game and scrimmage footage showing several examples of the rules in action.

This DVD includes a bonus PDF that can accessed on your computer and printed for your personal use when implementing this defense. This PDF includes all of the player responsibilities and diagrams discussed and shown in the video.

These concepts and coverages delivered a Top 20 defense to Wisconsin in 2010. Now you can incorporate these proven strategies into your program!

Lockhart (TX) High School Head Coach;
former Liberty Hill (TX) Assistant Coach; helped lead Liberty Hill to back-to-back Texas Class 3A State Championships

Now that the spread offense is in vogue and defenses are designed to combat wide formations, the Slot-T has become a unique offense that is difficult to counter. Brian Herman's Slot-T offense is the perfect answer for coaches who lack the personnel needed to run the up-tempo spread offense, and will present numerous challenges to more modern defenses that typically do not see this style of offense all season.

Coach Herman provides an excellent foundation for running the Slot-T offense. He utilizes play diagrams, schematics and video cut-ups to introduce the basics of this offense. You will learn the formations, terminology, and play design that make this offense so easy to learn and also so effective.

Why the Slot-T?

Learn how to run the football versus any defense despite potential differences in talent. See how players line up in four-point stances and use angle blocking to maximize "get off" on the snap to defeat larger, more talented teams. The team-oriented schematic structure emphasizes team football as opposed to one or two players being asked to make all of the plays.

  • It's an old-school style of football with an emphasis on running the football with a physical mindset.
  • It's difficult to prepare for since very few teams run this style of offense.

Formations and Terminology

The video are the basic formation, line splits, and attributes Coach Herman would like to see in each position on offense. The offense uses a strong side and a quick side. The offensive line utilizes the rare tactic of flipping the offensive line, which allows for simplicity in blocking rules as one scheme can be used for two plays. Simple formations and motions add flexibility to the offense.

  • Simple formations such as "A Right"/ "A Left"
  • Simple motion terms such as "Tom"
  • Triple digit play terminology simplifies the learning
  • Learn the base offensive series and how the plays fit together

Personnel Details & Practice Structure

Coach Herman goes into detail on what type of player is needed for each position and what to do if you don't have that kind of player in your program. He also details practice plans and identifies specific drills that are key to master the execution that allows them to run the ball so well.

With a philosophy of "run to win," Coach Herman illustrates step-by-step how the Slot-T offense is a great equalizer that will allow you to win games you shouldn't and compete when you are clearly outmatched. With easy-to-learn formations and terminology, a team-oriented schematic structure, and detailed personnel and practice format breakdowns, Coach Herman provides all the tools needed to install this effective offense.

The Slot-T has proven to be a highly effective offense at the high school level. Brian Herman describes the Power Series of plays that he has run with great success. Coach Herman uses a multimedia presentation including game video to demonstrate the three base plays and play action pass of the Power Series.

Coach Herman dives into specific detail about his 200 Power Series. You'll learn the specifics of four base plays: 234 dive, 228 toss, 243 tackle trap, and 216 pass. He provides in-depth commentary, whiteboard illustrations, and game footage to show how your team can effectively move the ball against any formation the defense presents.

Installing a Progression in the Power Series

Coach Herman runs through the base formation, alignments, gap numbering system, ideal personnel types for each position, and play calling methodology so that you can immediately implement this scheme into your offense.

  • Detailed coaching points and rules are provided for every position on each play in the Power Series.
  • Flipping the "strong side" and "quick side" linemen allow players to learn one set of rules for two different plays.
  • An intuitive defensive numbering system makes it easy for players to quickly identify and execute blocking responsibilities, regardless of where the defense aligns. Backside linemen are assigned play-side blocking responsibilities, which allows you to gain a numbers advantage on every run play.
  • Misdirection backfield action on every play causes defenses to play slow as they try to diagnose which player has the ball and where it's going.

Maximizing Each Play

Coach Herman explains his play-calling philosophy for each play in the Power Series to keep defenses guessing while putting your players in the best position to enjoy success.

  • 234 Dive is the 'bread and butter' play of the Power Series. This play is used to establish the run and ensures a double team with your best blockers at the point of attack. Backfield action gives the appearance of a triple option play.
  • 228 Toss allows your team to leverage speedier players to gain the edge on defenses when they stack the box to stop 234 Dive.
  • 243 Tackle Trap is a quick-hitting counter play to take advantage of teams that try to stop 234 Dive by keying offensive strength.
  • 216 Pass is a complement play-action pass play used to take advantage of overly aggressive teams that are focused on stopping the Power Series run plays.

Coach Herman diagrams each play before going over responsibilities of every play. Finally, game footage is used to reinforce techniques, highlight in-game adjustments, and clarify points that were covered on the whiteboard.

Coach Herman is methodical and thorough in his presentation of the Power Series. Coaches at all levels will benefit from this video. All aspects of the four fundamental Power Series plays are covered, ranging from offensive line splits, to quarterback steps, to when to call each play. By the end of this video, you'll have everything you need to understand, teach, and install a run-heavy attack that will keep your opponents on their heels!

In this video, Brian Herman utilizes play diagrams and schematics as well as video cut-ups to introduce the basics of the 300/ Misdirection Series of the Slot-T offense. You'll learn the specifics of 3-3-3 Trap, 349 Load Sweep, 8-Hole reverse, and Pass 318 Waggle. With easy-to-learn formations and terminology, a team-oriented schematic structure, and detailed personnel and practice format breakdowns, Coach Herman provides all the tools needed to install this effective offense.

Basics of the Slot-T

Coach Herman uses a PowerPoint to explain the basics of the Slot T offense. With a philosophy of "run to win," he explains how the Slot-T is a great equalizer and will allow you to win games you shouldn't and compete when you are clearly outmatched. The Slot-T is a team-oriented schematic structure that emphasizes team football as opposed to one or two players being asked to make all of the plays.

The offense utilizes the rare tactic of flipping the offensive line, which simplifies what each player must know to execute. Simple formations and motions add flexibility to the offense..

300 Series

You will learn all you need to know to install the Slot-T's 300 Series, which creates deception with misdirection. The A Right formation is the base alignment for the Slot-T. Blocking rules for each position and each play are taught before game video is shown of each play. You'll see:

  • 3-3-3 (FB Trap) - The base play of the series.
  • 349 (Load/Down Sweep)
  • 8-Hole Reverse (Slot Reverse)
  • Pass 318 Waggle (Waggle)

Coach Herman's misdirection series for the Slot-T couples perfectly with the power series, but could be equally effective as a change-up series for just about any offense. With its simplicity and aggressive nature, this offense is sure to frustrate and tire out a defense while putting points on the board.

Confuse opposing offenses using multiple defensive looks.

Rick Stewart took over a struggling program that had never won a playoff game. By implementing this multiple attack defense, he led the Gang Green to consecutive Sectional Final appearances, including a season where they finished 12-1 and became League Champions.

Coach Stewart demonstrates how to blend the 4-2-5, 4-4, and the 3-4 defenses together through an amazingly simple concept. He diagrams his defense in a chalk talk before showing you practice video of his players adjusting to all of the possible formations. Goals and alignments versus every offensive formation are covered in detail. The unique "Gang Green" defensive concept allows the defensive front 7 the same reads and assignments for all three defenses employed.

You'll get Coach Stewart's six-step tackling sequence to develop the proper tackling technique in his players as well as eight tackling drills used in his tackling circuit.

Coach Stewart also walks you through the installation sequence in spring, summer, and August. He then shows you his daily practice plans during the season.

As a bonus, practice video of five different pursuit drills are shown that you can use in place of wind sprints, allowing your team to learn great technique as you condition with a purpose.

This is a great video that will help build a solid defense for any high school or middle school program.

Rick Stewart uses Power Point, drill walk through, and practice and game footage to teach his stinging 4-2-5 'Gang Green' Multiple Defense that blends the 4-4, 4-2-5 and 3-4 defenses together with simplicity.

Coach Stewart begins by outlining his team's defensive rules, guidelines and philosophies to paint a clear picture for each defensive lineman's role and their importance to the defense. He teaches alignment, including various audible and visual cues you can use to get your players in the right position, while reacting to what is happening in front of them. The alignment and techniques are presented from the defensive end, tackle and nose positions. Stunts such as the slant, crash, pinch and jet are used in addition to others.

See how each individual position in this system is coached in a practice setting using "Every Day Drills." Defensive Ends are taught how to defeat blocks such as the down block, reach block, base block, trap blocks and others. Interior linemen are taught to take on similar blocks, but more emphasis is given to defeating double team blocks and how to play the pulling lineman and schemes. Throughout the video, Stewart emphasizes alignment, gap responsibility and hand placement.

On the field, Stewart uses a step-by-step drill progression to show the fundamental techniques for each position. He also uses game footage to show how all the drills and techniques come together in a game environment.

In addition to the specifics of line play, tackling drills are demonstrated that directly link the techniques used on the line to stop the run.

Defensive line play is extremely important in the game of football. Coach Stewart's teams have set a standard of play that has allowed them to become one of the top teams in the state of California. By stacking your defensive lineman and using these techniques, your defense is sure to make marked improvement for years to come.

In easy to understand terminology, Rick Stewart shows how to develop game-changing inside linebackers in the 'Gang Green' 4-2-5 Multiple Defense, which confuses offenses by combining the 4-4, 3-4, and 4-2-5 with surprising simplicity.

By playing 20 technique linebackers over uncovered guards in all 3 defenses, linebackers are better able to make clean reads and react aggressively. This video will take you through position specific drills and explain how the inside linebackers fit into the overall scheme of this defense.

Through PowerPoint diagrams, practice demonstrations and game footage - with both end zone and sideline angles - you will learn the proper coaching points and practice drills that will allow your inside linebackers to play fast and aggressive.

In the first segment, Coach Stewart discusses the difference between fast and tough run fits. He diagrams his daily window drills with six different run fits that teach linebackers how to effectively read guards and react instinctively to offensive line blocking schemes. The team run fits for fast flow, split flow and counter flow are also discussed to provide a big picture view of inside linebacker in this scheme.

In the second segment, Stewart diagrams and shows tackling drills that specifically reinforce techniques for inside linebackers.

The third segment covers pass drops and blitz schemes utilized in the 4-2-5, 4-4, and 3-4 defenses. In the final segment it is all brought together with game footage from both the sideline and end zone angles to demonstrate how effective this method has been for Coach Stewart.

This video is ideal both for coaches looking to adopt a new defensive scheme and coaches wanting to improve the play of their inside linebackers in any 4-2-5, 3-4 or 4-4 defense.

These drills and techniques will help you develop the complete inside linebacker that plays fast and aggressive.

Rick Stewart has put together a very detailed video that will help any defense. He demonstrates how to build this system with simple alignment rules and limited assignment changes for his defensive backs and outside linebackers. You will never have to change the alignment, read, or run fit of your two inside linebackers.

Throughout the video, Coach Stewart discusses using cover 2, 3, and 4, with cloud and sky concepts. His whiteboard descriptions explain the differences in each coverage and how to use all of them with limited changes for the outside linebackers and defensive backs. He dedicates a great deal of discussion to route combinations and how they are handled in each coverage. He also includes detailed description of run fits and technique that are interchangeable between coverage schemes.

After his description of each coverage, the focus turns to individual technique and drills. As Stewart points out, his playbook determines the drills. Every drill is designed to simulate game situations seen in their multiple defensive looks. You will see whiteboard diagrams and descriptions of four drills for his backpedal progression, five tackling drills used for the defensive backs, and seven coverage drills for 1-,3-, and 5-step routes. Also covered are specific drills for the outside linebackers that concentrate on defeating four types of blocks, pass coverage and tackling. The whiteboard session is followed with on-field video of players executing each drill.

Stewart also covers group pursuit drills that are done in group sessions with only the defensive backs and outside linebackers. Using this system, your team will embody the motto, "eleven helmets, one poor soul".

This multiple defense allows for a simplistic approach to a system that will seem complex to your opponent. Your team will spend time mastering simple assignments while your opponent spends time preparing for multiple defensive strategies.
